    I'm not trying to insult you Rexxus, so please don't take the amateurish label personally. But some of things I've encountered on the server don't seem very well thought out. I've encountered planets with duplicate terrain, gotten stuck in space because there was no way to get Pentaxid except to beg people to fly to the area I was in, and now a starter planet that seems to have vanishing asteroids.

    I flew around the entire planet and didn't see any asteroids or a space station. I've flown, walked and driven my motorbike all over the surface and haven't seen one animal - this is most likely a bug then if the YAML is set high. And I want to leave the planet, but I'm tired of leveling up on plants collecting.

    Hm yeah, I can tweak this even though it was meant as balancement - both origins same chances.

    I will review your points of course but some things like meteorites and animals sound like a bug I can't control.

    Thank you. I do understand that a lot of this may be bugs that you can't control, but I've played on a few other servers and don't seem to run into the same problems. Perhaps it's a player population issue? The other ones always have players, but I don't think they have quite as many.

    I'll try again later to see if I can find animals or asteroids. Let me know if I can help.

    I noticed that most players select Eleen as a starting point. I'm assuming it's because it's the first planet in the list. It would be great to have a mechanism or incentive for players to switch sides from Defenders to invaders. Currently the defenders greatly outnumber the invaders. I would be happy to switch sides if I could take my assets with me or have materials granted for making the switch.

    Despite that everybody says, I find the official US server very good.
    I really like the feature that you can't come back to your starting system. There are a lot of resources on them that helps you to get ready. When you're done, you just leave and venture the galaxy. It gives more focus on the preparation side.

    Played for about 2 days on "Eleon Studios - Official EU Server" as Defender (Planet Mato). Yesterday at about 23:00 UTC I was scanning the planet in my SV looking for resource meteors. I found one with Pentaxid, landed with my SV a few steps away from the meteor and mined it for several minutes.

    After I had enough, I wanted to go back to my SV as I discovered that the SV was no longer there (WTF?). Usually you see any vessel as a green icon on the map. But nothing. I had done similar mining sessions earlier without a problem. Could it be related to the Pentaxid meteor?

    Some questions:
    - Can other players steal or destroy my SV? As far as I understood Mato counts as starter planet.
    - Do vessels have a "vanish timer" if their power is off and they are not docked at any base or CV?
    - Is this some kind of bug?

    The "issues readme" talks about vanishing vessels after changing a playfied. But my case seems not to fit here. I was standing a few steps away of the vessel for maybe 3-4 minutes (the time it takes to empty one miner fuel can).

    It is not a big issue losing a SV, but it's annoying and I'm unsure if I will continue playing, if I should expect vanishing object now and then.

    I was playing the solo scenarios for several days already and never encountered any vanishing items.

    Other strange things I encountered so far:
    - when mining another meteor with a T1 miner, the mined mineral chunks are thrown into the air and did not fall to the ground, but where building a kind of cluster in the middle of the air.
    - I was collecting sea weed. Some plants did not vanish after being harvested. So I could collect about 30 weeds from a single plant.

    - If u set your vessel on public yes ppl can steal it no matter if its PvE or PvP planet.
    - No they dont have a vanish timer. (unless it was to small)
    - Yes it can be a bug, Still needs to get looked into then
    This needs some looking in to. I have to ask @Jascha to look since RexXxuS is enjoying a long deserved holliday

    - Mining : If it has no Atmoshere it fill float
    - Seawead pickup... ye that can be a bug. Think Devs know about it :)

    Solo works different then MP

    About the SV: How large was it? Could it be it was to small and therefore AutoDecayed? If you can can you let me know the ID or name of the Vessel. Or at least Your ingame name/faciton. Then I can check what the logs say.

    Seeweed: Bad bug. We tried to rid it out already since a year. It somehow allways comes back. Were you alone or was someone else there before?

    The SV was small (maybe 80 blocks, 20 devices). But autodecay in ~5 minutes? I think I had left my SV parking in the wild for more than 10 minutes already and it still was there, when I came back.

    As far as I can say, I was alone. It was quite dark and view range was limited, so if someone was there 1 minute ago, I would have not seen him.

    If I remember correctly, I also was able to harvest multiple oranges from an orange tree. Is this the same bug?


    I built a working farming spot yesterday (went offline at 01:00). Logged back in today at 21:00. All my plants were dead, all food in the fridge was spoiled (base ran out of fuel).

    I never really cared about fuel consumption while being offline. Do you think this is a good concept to force people either to login every day to keep their stuff running or losing parts of there stuff?
    At least it would be good to know the differences between single player and multiplayer worlds (any tutorial for this?)

    Last night the lag on the official US server was somewhere between ridiculous and unbearable. I don't remember exactly how many people were on, but I want to say it was in the ballpark of 10-15 players. Last night it was especially bad, but this happens very frequently and for long durations of time.

    The lag I'm taking about is most easily noticed when you hit "f" to access a cargo box, etc. And nothing happens. And nothing happens. And for another 5-15 seconds, nothing happens. And then finally the cargo box opens. And forget engaging in combat - you're dead before you even know you're being shot at.

    I don't know if this is a server hardware issue, a software performance issue, a network issue, or multiple problems at once. I do know that I am not the only one that experiences this. And I am here to tell you that it makes the game extremely not fun. Frankly, to constantly have performance issues this severe on one of the official servers should be an embarrassment, alpha or not. If you can't fix it, you would be better off just shutting the server down.

    Ye the orangers same bug. Its a bug that keeps comeing back and each time the devs solve it and someone a few patches laters its back.
    We keep looking into that one tho.

    If the base runs out of fuel ur stuff goes bad ye. Thats the difference between single player and multiplayer. MP the playfield keeps runing since there is Always someone online so ye fuel comsumption stays the same. I dont know if this is something the devs have in mind to change at some point. Never really heard anyone about it either, but there are topics around with overall fuel system and devs do read feadback :)

    There isnt really a guide between the differences. Hard to explain aswell since u can customize everything to your own hand. Any feature thats on MP can be used in SP and the other way around.

    Biggest difference is in SP u log out and your game stops. In MP the game keeps running. So aslong someone is online on the playfield (world) u play on everything there keeps running. Base, Constructors, Timers etc etc etc. If no one is on your playfield online it goes in a idle state and only Autominer keep mining, the Devices u place in water like the Hydrogen and O2 generator keep running. Base in other hand Doesnt use fuel and food wont go bad.

    Hope this explains it abit.

    About your ship, @Jascha has to take a look since i dont have access to the logs :)

    This is for @Hummel-o-War or @RexXxuS . RexXxuS is on Holliday so dont know how fast he can respond. Hummel is the spoksperson for Eleon. I already wrote a whole post behind the screen about the Official Servers but i dont know if something can be done about it.

    If its a server issue i dont know. Might be just some internet issue in the US to the server center. Maybe @Jascha can see something weird in the logs.

    The performance on the US official server is absolutely terrible. I agree with vxsote. It really should be an embarrassment for both Nitrado and Eleon. I can assure you it is turning people away from the game. An "Official" server should be top notch hardware, management, and connectivity. I am unsure what the cause of the issues are but from my admittedly limited experience running EGS DS it appears to be hardware limited, RAM/CPU.

    I assume it's on some Nitrado shared hardware. Assuming that, let me say that it is not that expensive to rent dedicated hardware if Eleon doesn't have their own. A few hundred bucks a month should be nothing for an "official" server or Eleon could just Co-Lo one.

    From my limited perspective, it really just feels like amateur hour for an official server. I won't even go into the rant about the wipe of the official servers a few weeks ago. It's Alpha, wipe it if needed. But wipe due to corruption? Where are the backups? Maybe there was a reason backups couldn't be used, I wasn't there.

    It is my understanding RexXxus runs the US server. Maybe he is limited and constrained to what we he can do due to Eleon budgeting or some other factors that I don't understand. I don't know what the circumstances surrounding that relationship are but I'm with vxsote, the end result should be embarrassing and I promise you people are being turned away from the game due to it. You are better off just turning it off than leaving it the way it is.

    A small update regarding my lost vessel: I found it today. It was lying maybe 100 meter away in a hole from where I lost it . Some questions come into my mind:

    Did someone restore it? If not, why did it not appear on the map at the time, when "it disappeared"? How did it move to another location?

    Some other things I'd like to mention:
    - the initial "tutorial" (use drill, collect ore, build some stuff) does no longer seem to work, when you reach the point "collect edible plants" & "collect medical plants" (on the Eleon Server - it worked when playing solo). When collection corresponding plants, the tutorial won't update/recognize it.

    - Auto miner cores: at a certain point in multiplayer the underground ore deposits on planets are depleted. At that point the supply of ore comes from meteroids. But you cannot place auto miner cores at/near such a meteroid. And you cannot deconstruct them! I just built a T3 auto mining device which now is completely useless and I cannot even get may resources back. And I wasted my "skill points" in the tech tree to be able to build them. So this is a design bug: this item should have some use even in multiplayer - so they should work with meteorids too. Otherwise you should disable them in multiplayer.

    Auto Miners, like any other terrain device can only be deconstructed on a PVP playfield. They do have a point aslong u dont pick them up when the deposit is depleted. They still mine even if there is no deposit. If u pick them up then u can place them down anymore.

    That it should work on a Asteroid. No. Simple fact. They dont depleet the ore deposit and with asteroids dropping all over the place that means auto miners all over the place. Build a HV and mine the asteroids.

    Just pick them up, find a deposit on a PVP playfield and break them appart. Or leave them on a deposit even if its depleted and they still mine.

    Thanks for the explanation. But you arguments why auto miner should not work with meteorids comes from a imho buggy behavior of auto miners. If your oxygen gets depleted you die. If you run out of food you die. If your vessel runs out of fuel cells, they are out of control. If your miner runs auto of fuel, you cannot mine anymore. If a resource deposit is depleted, there is nothing left to mine.

    So in ALL other aspects, the game is consistent regarding a depleted resource. Only auto miners break this consistency. If you fix this inconsistency (maybe auto miners turn off and are removed by the server if they are not collected after a certain time period) the argument chain you presented becomes void. Then it would be perfectly possible to use them on meteorids without leftover auto miners and they would be consistent with other tools using resources.

    Its not a buggy behaviour of the auto miners. They are made on purpose this way that they dont depleet the ore.

    u love them or u hate them. So far i can read feedback most hate them and wish there was a way to put them off in the game.

    Maybe they should get a chance ye. But thats up to the Devs :)
    I think they will get a change at some point

    I'm hoping auto-miners will eventually become A.I. mining vessels. Build them, give them way-points, and let them go. If nobody bothers them, they collect and eventually deliver ore to a base.

    Anti grieving put on 0 meters!!!!

    Just played on a server that started to really populate, because the sever had 0 antigrieving distance. Ooooooh how fun it was until a crybaby came along and convinced the admin to change the anti grieving distance, 70% of the players left the server after that(not all because of that but some other changes too)

    I hate it that admins think there needs to be an anti grieving distance to player bases. The problem is it ruins the game. Ya can't use any tools, ya can't use the camera drone. Dammit man give us our freedom !!!!!!!

    I am almost done with this game, there is a certain way I want to play it and no one is setting up servers to play it the way I would like to see it played

    And its simple use what is given in the game.

    Such as

    Offline Protection= people actually build bases and can defend them when they are online
    0 anti grieving distance means we can use camera drones , drills yes right up to a players base. Players just need to learn how to defend their base from an underground attack.
