I tried that on one of my previous servers...too many complaints and nobody ever joined, so I scrapped the idea. Maybe if you found more people wanting it, somebody will start one up?? Are you just sick of seeing ships from movies and non-realistic designs?
No not really, some of the designs are really neat. Its just that with bps, a server with few planets can be maxed structured in a day or two by a faction bery quickly for no other reason just to do so. Its rather ridiculous. And i just wanted a bigger challenge.
I can not blame you one bit! Playfields get cluttered very quickly when you can just dump a bunch of resources into an imaginary 'factory' and materialize an entire starship or base within hours-seconds. One approach I took, dunno if you plan on starting your own server or not, was to rotate the starter planets every week so no single planet gets loaded up with new players' stuff...seems to be workin okay.
Starter planets are fine on the server im on as they are wiped every friday and no returning once you leave. Its the non starter pve planets that get crowded. Mainly do to safe spots for pvp factions to store all their stuff. Server is still working on stuff so ill be fine. Was just wanting to see if there were any non bp servers out there. I didn't know we could eliminate 100% of the use of bp. I though the max a server owner could do was to restrict the bp to the stock ones.
