    Hi Galactic Survivalists,

    We just released a patch that incorporates some of your feedback and fixes several issues from Alpha 5.5. For example, we fixed the problem that Structural Integrity (SI) was not working anymore or the problem with cockpits that changed their colors when entering with multitool.

    IMPORTANT: All bases that were built during the 24h time period between Alpha 5.5.0 and Alpha 5.5.1 unfortunately did not save their SI value and can now easily collapse. We are sorry for the inconveniences. All bases built after Alpha 5.5.1 are not affected.

    Changelog: Alpha 5.5.1 (Build 883)

    Changes:
    - Tweaked Alien blocks:
    * if used on a player structure, the corresponding Blueprint will not be spawn-able anymore (red color in Blueprint library)
    * alien blocks now only placeable on BA, CV
    - Improved grass shader: it now adapts better to the color of the terrain
    - Added names of new Drone Bases to localization

    Bug Fixes:
    - Fixed: Problem that Structural Integrity SI was not working anymore
    - Fixed: Problem that weapons and tools were using SI shader
    - Fixed: Problem that cockpits changed color when entering with multitool

    Could you guys please look into the issue with Turrets shooting Private set ships when member is part of a faction your allied too.
    Issue here is possible exploit of a ship wasting your turrets ammo, along with the fact its damn anoying when an ally is near your base and your turrets go nutts!
    I thought it was previously fixed, maybe its poped back up in this last update..

    Is this only happening to a faction you are allied with ?
    Faction set turrterts arent shooting same faction members private set ships ?

    I just noticed that when you reload you no longer lose ammo. I'm sure this was fixed a long time ago, but I only just noticed, sweet!

    I can finally walk around with more than 3 bullets in my pistol because I am too stingy to reload :D

    Right :D

    They actually hotfix brand new bugs introduced by a big patch. Unlike some *other* game where they slate a hotfix the day after their normal patch... but never really accomplish fixing what they just broke (again and again) the day before ;)

    I have a few issues that need to be looked at.

    1. When drones are shot down and I try to go and get the loot from it, by the time I'm about half way they fall through the ground regardless if I fly, run, or hover to the drone it falls through the ground. Not all of them do it.

    2. When drilling into the ground I tend to float for a while I don't go down as I am drilling, kinda weird when drilling.

    These happen through out the updates you guys have been updating.

    This is just a list of random things/bugs/WTFs? I've noticed while playing Empyrion since v5.4.0

    Why is it some craftable items do not fully stack in the "output" of the constructor. For example Railgun Bullets stack to 100, but in the constructor they only stack to 96 in the output window.

    Why do things stack to 999, instead of 1000? When queuing HUGE bulk builds in sets of 10 or 100, this causes the next stack in the build cue to start at 1, then the next stack has 2, then 3, and so on in the build cue due to this 999 stack limit. Why not just let stacks max at 1000?

    Why do most turrets have such a HUGE range? they can shoot down drones, and other entities that don't even appear on the radar. I think the range for them (except artillery) should be nerfed.

    Why can Armored Golems over 2 BA blocks high can pass though a single block opening??

    Why can I not rename Fridges and cargo boxes, weren't we able to before 5.4.0?

    When going up an elevator, jetpack shouldn't be activated.

    Why is my jetpack always off when I log back into a game?

    Why do all landing gears and pads default to a backwards position when you're about to place them?

    It would be nice if repair bays would operate with the vessel kept powered on. I don't like turning off any of my refrigerators on my vessels.

    "Dangerous Space" needs a better reward. You have to explore five different areas which means you have to be high level with a warp capable SV, risk your ship getting shot down, just to win 50 gold coins, which is USELESS in single player.

    If I'm one block below an elevator, and my jetpack is off, why can't I get into the elevator? Sure it might be a higher gravity planet I'm on but if I can get half my body into the elevator, it should "catch" and allow me to ascend.

    The auto-grouping of thrusters is incredibly irritating. I do like how they are named in the direction they are facing, but having them in separate groups makes the whole point of the grouping them together so you can power on/off thrusters a lot more CUMBERSOME and pointless. Please revert this back to grouping all thrusters into ONE group (but keep the naming scheme for each thruster).

    I want to be able to assign a hot-key to my controllable unit groups in control panel, so I can easily toggle on/off groups (thrusters, weapons, gravity, etc) with a single keystroke (like we can already do with lights) and not click though control panel. Sometimes saving those extra few seconds can save lives.

    Spiders have small it boxes and need to be enlarged. Even trying to loot a dead one you have to aim exactly on it to loot it.

    Drilling isn't the same anymore. A lot of the times it feels like the terrain that's being removed is AROUND the area I am aiming at, and not directly where I am looking/aiming.

    Lately I've not been able to build separate structures not directly connected to my base. It keeps saying while holding [N] "Connect not available." What am I doing wrong?

    Since 5.5.0, I keep hearing the jetpack sound effect when I'm not doing anything.

    After this patch, I get stuck on the loading screen when attempting to connect to my server. I'm using a Nitrado server and both the client and server are showing as 5.5.1. I'm using easy anti cheat. I can hear the load screen music, as well as the environment music simultaneously. On the server side it shows one player connected, but on the client I'm stuck on the loading screen.

    only happens when someone has a private ship but is an an allied group u are friendly with, turrets will shoot the private vessal, but cause no dmg, but wastes ure ammo

    I've tried all your suggestions already. Now I'm resorting to re-installing the client.

    EDIT: Finally resolved the issue by re-installing the SERVER software.

    I'm wondering if you will create a rotating block? Of course has to be controllable.

    Would be cool, you already have radar that rotates.

    Helicopters and planes or what ever may be created.

    And, an block that can move at angles?

    love your new sunrise sunsets I don't know if that was in the last patch but it really looks amazing very nice. The new effects for the lasers and such look fine and seem to be much less cpu intensive which is a good thing. Cool remodel of the drone base.

    So is there a new thread for reporting new bugs?? Only, after my base imploded and almost killed me I built a new one (luckily I knew ahead of time and got 90% of my stuff out). I needed more growing pot, so I put food in the processor (The food one) and turned it off, since my mini base doesn't ha e much fuel yet. Then remembered I didn't save my water. So I go out and get my water and use the food thing to make bottled water (yeah, I know you cam do it in the survival constructor). Before turning it back on the perish time on most the food was 3. As soon as I turned it back on the perish time returned to the food items respective 100% time...

    I have a question. Why is it whenever you guys do one of these hotfixes some of us end up getting internal errors on the Experimental branches?
    It seem like whenever there is a hot fix on the Experimental branch I get an internal error but usually the day after their is a patch to fix it.

    might be same reason why things don't stack into your hotbar

    pretty sure that's a Unity thing, i could be wrong, i'm not a dev

    the devs have always geared this game around PvP, and that needs to change, or else their game is just going to stay relatively unplayed by and unknown to the vast majority of players that are / would be interested in this genre

    that is a thing that could be changed, seems like not a priority at the moment since it would be exploitable

    not sure about fridges, but you can with cargo boxes and harvest cargo boxes, and constructors etc., click on the name bar of the cargo box at the top to change it and hit Enter key

    this happens when you change playfields as well, and everyone hates it, it's annoying and the game should remember what state the jetpack is in at all times, same with the player light, if i want my light off, i'll turn it off myself, thank you

    i think this is just a default thing about how the game works in reference to the world space when you go to place something, it needs to pick some orientation as default

    um, yeah, the entire missions system needs an overhaul, and i'm pretty sure the devs know that already LOL

    It again, is a PvP thing i believe, could be wrong, but yeah, single players and even multiplayer players have been complaining about this for a LONG time and it's high time the devs listen and respond to this, it's very irritating for us ship builders as well

    you and me both man, the devs really need to think about what is a priority and what is not when it comes to hotkeys and keybindings in the first place, this game has a metric ton of keybindings, but a few of them are not necessary, and would be best off being replaced to serve a more productive and user-friendly function.

    they need to work on a LOT of hitboxes in the game, still alpha, so yeah...
