While both of you are correct, currently a LOT of stuff looks very similar, eaten, usable or no. So yes, it is a pain running all over to look at every bush (10 times), as you travel. Currently, it means that you only examine what is directly in front of you, as it is such a waste of time and Energy, to examine anything else...time is energy and burning at your base or vehicle, it is a commodity that shouldn't be wasted looking at the same bush 3 times.

I don't have this problem at all. I find they are all obvious even from the max render distance. The plants in my own back yard are way more similar-looking to each other.

Hunting and gathering should take significant effort, if anything it's currently way too easy.

    I'm getting better at it.
Still some "fruits" that you cannot tell if they are ripe or not from any kind of distance. Also, try finding "Fiber". It doesn't exactly jump out at you in the dark. ;)

No, but it does jump out at you around dusk! It positively glows in the light of the setting sun, making it very easy to find.

Funny you say that and the Fiber compared to the backdrop is a LOT brighter than the other vegetation in that picture. Fiber is incredibly easy to find, and so plentiful you do not even really have to look hard to find some on planets where it's present.

That's interesting, I wonder why that is. On Omicron (The Desert Planet) it is a bit easier to spot as there is less brush for it to blend into, but like you said you still have a decent source of it now, and after a point you start to have more than you really need anyhow.

I've never found any on Akua. I think you have to go someplace else to find them.

Correct, there are no sprouts and some items can only be found on certain planets.

Yesterday I had a little dogfight with Space Drones in the Asteroids. Not sure about the reason but I have massive lags while doing turning manouvers there. Probably the rendering from Planets but thats not fun at all.

We need a forest planet first though. I really want a forest planet. I'd make a permanent home there. I've always liked forests. Though in this cause alien trees would be awesome.

We need seats for hover-bikes first. Otherwise the people will not welcome you on their forest planet.

Sorry for the somewhat off-topic post but I just couldn't get the following image out of my mind after reading Kaloriaa and Tiv's replies. Thought I'd share:

I reinforce this comment, planets would be a bit more complete if weather systems would be added, like for example:
    - Omncron - Sand Storms, Ionic Storms, Heat waves
    - Akua - Rainfall, Massive rain fall, Mist
    - Snow Planet - Blizzards, Chilling effect where player gets damanged by cold
    - etc.

As the player is in an Environmental suit im not sure on that one.

    I love the others

The Moon could have meteor storms as it has no atmoshpere

Maybe the Moon could also (or instead of) have radiation, due to no atmosphere. If you're exposed for too long, the numbers build up to a certain threshold, and at that point you start taking health damage. Vehicles and Bases would have natural shielding against radiation, and, when the player is inside, the players radiation level slowly decreases.

    Just an idea.
