First question, is there any plans for the Fixed and Random to be used in the playfield file.
    - It would nice to place some fixed POI's and then have random POI groups populate the rest of the playfield, very dynamic that way.

Second question, I tried an experiemnt and built a playfield in a solo game game, then tried to import that playfield into a server game, everything worked but ... It removed all the structures from the playfield, thinking this is a onwership thing. The question being, is there a way to do this?

Third question, to satisfy what I am trying to do, I had the playfield on server populate with random POI's, then I went in and added the static POI's I wanted. Here is the weird thing, after setposition and setrotation on the POI's, next login in or change of payfields and they move back to the original spawn position (position and rotation). Are these two items setposition/setrotation not allowed on servers for permenate placement?

Notes: they don't go back to the original spawn position, they are almost rotating 180 degree's in direction. What is causing this, is it pointless at this time to try and create a city with different POI's and repositioning them on a server?
    - I have tried to re-core the POI's after palcement and repositioning, they still move after login/logout, this is just weird and doesn't make sense.
    - I tested this in SP and it worked fine (nothing ever moves), so whats the difference?

This forum is useless, almost 4 hours later (13 views) and not one response. Throw it on steam and within 15 minutes I get a response, no point in asking anything here!

Not sure about fixed, hope so.

Yes, bit tricky but can be done, I think Xangos guide is probably the best one for this.

Not sure about set position, it probably lines up with the terrains underlying grid for co-ordinate reasons, that's my guess.

Getting POIs in the absolute correct position is best done by laying a starter block, and swapping the files out of the folders.
Make sure the POI is an active, tested and working before you do it or problems arise.

You may need to reset it manually to alien faction once ingame, I haven't tried this for some time, been a few updates and not sure if anything has changed there.

Sorry for late reply, your right though, Steam is a lot faster for a response but usually its from players that have very few hours of the game under there belt so the quality of advise there isn't as high. Always exceptions, but in general.

I think they may of changed something in the 5.1 patch, they stopped rotating after that, either that or I just sat there looking at them long enough there are now scard to move.
    - You wouldn't believe the things I tried to get them to stay in position, even reajusted my bedrock.

But finally moving forward again with things actually staying in place, some pictures following that you may enjoy.

I am hoping they include more POI loading options in the future, pack up a zip file and it now becomes a very easy package for someone else to use, install someones custom planet (biome, POI's) in seconds.
