Have a look at the example scenarios supplied with the game.

Look at the planet YAML files for examples how to add your own buildings.

If you want to add quests study the PDA.yaml file

Notepad++ to edit YAM files, its free.

POI entry needs to go in the planets YAML of whatever planet you want the POI to show up on.

So open planet yaml and scroll down to POI section copy and paste an entry and then change the details to suit your POI and its group name.

The Prefab file just needs to be in the prefab folder for game to find it.

For what your doing though, you might be better looking at Instancing, and set it up as an Instance if its just one POI your doing it with.

If you want real world examples of these files in order, download a scenario or two and look in the files.

does it have to have a certain type of core to place in yaml, maybe that is what is wrong?
