It would be nice at some point that water can flow but in a voxel game that likely won't happen. Even if it could I suspect most computer systems couldn't handle the graphics but time and technology marches on so maybe at some point it can / will happen. In the meantime, you better get a life vest on or keep your suit and helmet on...

You do not need real Graphic "Power" to get flowing Water or Waterfalls. I don't know whats the engine behind TESO but I get there real nice flowing Water. Sometimes weird to see it almost running up a hill but it flows over Rocks pretty well.

I think it’s the voxel aspects that create the difficulty. One game I play has water that’s not really interactive but slows you down and such. Another functions well. It’s tricky to setup in the map editor but functions in the game as you would expect. I’ve been washed downstream on more than one occasion... I think it would add a whole different dynamic to this game and would like to see it.

"Someone" should eventually have a look into the programming behind the Inner "Black" Desert Planet - Black Sand surface and Red Crystals all around :). Getting a lot of those messages in the Console

The errors in the first screenshot can happen when the game tries to spawn space POIs too close to a planet (or moon?) I think so it removes them. The game is supposed to push everything away from the planet based on the planet's size but sometimes it doesn't. I don't know an easy way to fix it and it can even happen in the default starting orbits with the ship graveyard, but shouldn't be anything to be concerned about as long as it's not doing it to important mission POIs. :D

The second screenshot shows the crazy way I'm spawning the crystals. They needed to all be set as "IsImportant" which is usually reserved for individual special POIs. Have you noticed any performance problems or anything like that on that planet? If it causes issues I can certainly remove the "IsImportant" flag from them.

Forgot to mention for the first screenshot that the Planet has an Asteroid Ring so this may cause this ...out of playfield-Vac-Cleaner-Thing:D

I started a new game on the Dead Planet...very demanding and a real challenge.
Something seems to be not quite right there...

Thanks. I saw that one too and it'll be fixed once I update the scenario in alpha 10.5.

Those floating/sinking POIs mean I can't build any POIs in the live version of the game at the moment. :( It can randomly affect any blueprint and then I have to go back and fix it. Even blueprints I made months ago seem to be affected so please keep posting any others that you find so I can fix them.

I have a week off work to do nothing but work on this scenario. :D There's still some POI and building bugs that make it harder to create POIs unfortunately. My plan is to get an update ready for when alpha 10.5 goes live. The .5 Empyrion versions usually have additional content, so that would be a good time to release an update to the scenario too.

Currently I have 3 new planets and 1 new moon mostly done, with ideas for like dozens of others. I want to try to get some "missions" in, things you'll find by talking to random NPCs in trade stations and the like that maybe send you to a specific set of coordinates to investigate or bring back something, or rumors you can read that give you hints where to find interesting/important things.

Just something to give some more life to the game and reward you for exploring. :D
A lot of random issues or oddities people have reported are going to be fixed too in the next update.

One minor glitch and a query.

Love the Snow Dwarf start, but Promethium meteors start raining down, fairly sure there shouldn't be any of those.

Does the implied infested Trading Post actually exist yet? I'd love to explore it :)

Promethium meteors will fall down if you deplete most of the promethium deposits. Same with the other resources. Or do you mean they just started falling by themselves?

The trading outpost doesn't exist yet. I'm going to work on it as soon as some major building bugs are fixed (I don't have access to the mirror or copy/paste tools at the moment).

Ah OK, thought 'random meteorites: none' meant no depletion meteorites :)

Nope! Random meteors are ones that can fall at specific intervals, so I can add them to some moons or planets where appropriate. :D right now I think only a couple have them.

I figured out the rock snow thing. It's rock. They used rock texture and made it look like snow. I'll probably just leave it be because sometimes when you change textures it can mess up the texture blending. :D

Hey @ravien_ff would love to test your scenario but can't play it when off the grid

Any way to make it available offline without the constant error messages?

You can copy the workshop download into your scenarios folder then it should work fine.

    SteamLibrary/steamapps/workshop/content/383120

Look for a folder called 1742662471.

Copy the whole 1742662471 folder into your Empyrion - Galactic Survival/Content/Scenarios folder and then rename it to something like Project Eden Local and then use that local copy to start a new game.

Ok, I had done that already and it wasn't working

I kept getting quit and email errors, when choosing size of planet and when choosing starting location

Apart from that none of the descriptions of planets and starting gear shows up

When starting online I also get quit and email pop up when changing the seed and then when loading while offline

Just a question, it is on public build right? Any issues if I'm on a different build?

Make sure you are either on the current live version or the current experimental version (though slightly older versions should still work fine).
It's also possible you got a corrupt Steam download. Try unsubscribing and then resubscribing. Steam is notorious for this and with the size of my scenario, it increases the likelihood of something going wrong in the download.
As far as I know you shouldn't need to be online to play the scenario, so you shouldn't even need to do any copy pasting.

When changing the seed, you need to do it in this order due to a bug:

    Select Project Eden.
Set the seed that you want.
    Select a different scenario.
    Re-select Project Eden again.
    Start game.

This will correctly apply the new seed that you set. I haven't had time to make a bug report on this yet.
