Add the ability for posters to insert my images.
You throw pictures into the game folder and the game sees these pictures so that these images can be inserted into posters.
It is convenient to place maps of planets or notes and tips of various kinds in posters.

Well surely it's a translation problem : I can't figure out where you want your images and what you mean by "posters" : you want images to be seen in game while playing, or in the PDA / User Interface, like in a menu ?

It's very hard, I won't remember it in a month. It's easier for me not to use it at all than to bother so much. I like how this is implemented in the subnautica screen into which you can insert an image through the game.

It is already possible using decals.
However Subnautica is a single player game, so you can add images more easily. Empyrion is multiplayer, so servers need to be able to control what images are allowed.
It's very easy to set up your decal gun, you just need the images, and then you edit the decal gun config to include your images.

Ok. Decals can't be used on player structures because they break structural integrity anyways. Sorry for the dumb suggestion, I forgot about this detail... But there's a workaround for this but I'm not going to explain this here.

You can make custom blocks like very thin "boxes" on which you can put any texture you want, and then just add this to a base or ship as a "poster", but if you found decals to be too complex I doubt you will want to try this solution.

The actual LCD screens cause problems because of how Unity treats text and the developers are trying to use decals instead (on POIs) because they use lots less memory than LCDs and don't cause bugs ( some buggy LCD characters).

The problem with custom content to be allowed in one player's game is because when players get on a server (multiplayer) the custom content is not shared and will cause errors. Right now decals are not allowed on the client side on (most) servers, but I don't know much about this aspect. One thing is sure is that decals break structural integrity, so even if server owners could allow them the problem would still remain.
