    Ok ran that command, after 10 checks, it decided to spawn an attack! That was fun with rocket drones against my wooden base lol

    Haha yeah, despite turrets, and me running to my SV, it still managed to take out a good portion of the base. Managed to stop it just before the core got destroyed (had 1HP left on it lol). Only actually lost a load of blocks and a large constructor though, rebuilt now with concrete.

    Strangely in the log, best I can see is it's checked every real 30 minutes, though it's not always consistent, there's strange entries saying it was last checked 150 game hours ago etc.

    Can you remove the timer from the lost full backpack after death, or add settings to the config for the backpack?

    This is precisely my gripe with this system. The game actively punishes you for using salvage on the wrong blocks by giving you less resources than it takes to make the device. You are pretty much forced to use retrieve blocks instead, otherwise you're losing out on the most valuable resources. I don't think you should be punished for using the wrong salvage option and honestly, that sounds like bad game design to me. I think you should have the choice. Do you want the full block or do you want it in component form? This is exactly how it was in older versions and I'm at a loss as to why they changed it.

    I'm not sure what the tangent about greedy players was all about, but ok I guess?

    That's most definitely not how it worked.
    Previously, if you used salvage it always gave iirc 75% of the components. The problem with that was that singular items used in a block's construction, which were usually the more valuable ones (flux coils, oscillators, power coils, zascosium alloy) would always return 0 components.
    This change flips that so you get the more valuable items as a priority, while a % of the plates and other expendable materials are lost.
    There's no punishment involved. You either placed those blocks and can therefore retrieve them exactly how you put them down, or destructively salvage them for parts.
    After all, the constructor built those blocks, not you. You're just hacking it to pieces with a laser. You can't expect to get everything back like that. If you do, see the tangent about greedy players.

    I believe they were referring to the time before then. Back in the "good old days" you didn't lose anything at all when using the multitool, ever.
    If you wanted the parts then you got all the parts. If you wanted the full block then you got the full block.

    @Taelyn is there any significant change from RC 2 to Public? Can I stay in EXP - still limping on a Mobile Hotspot with a Data Volume Limit ...and switching back and forth does not help to keep this limit:(.

    Great stuff so far!
    Still run into the glitch when building a base where, after placing the core/starter block, regular blocks will not place until save/reload. Will enter bug report on this later.

    Texture/Color tool is great, once I figured out how to use it correctly. Could use a bit of in-game explanation.

    Love the way the tutorial missions auto-chain!

    Also love that the "missing block" issue caused by mining rocks in/protruding from the water no longer occurs!

    More experimenting to do before I can give a full report, but so far, so great!

    There is no change between public / exp atm

    However we will release a hotfix to EXP today

    What did you do with the game? my fps is already in space 12. Before, I could not land on the ground there was always 7-10. But now even in space, fps was 40-80, it is not higher than 12.
