I say "Homer" as a lazy way to shorthand refer to Homing Rockets.
For me, Wheeled Vehicles are more of a look/fell than a mechanic i need. I would be happy if they introduced Wheel shaped blocks that were based on the hover mechanics in the game already and just limited the hover to just above the ground.
Well if they launched something as intelligent as Homer J. Simpson they certainly wouldn't be Smart missiles.
Actually, i've heard that in the past, Homers could get stuck flying donuts around a SV if the SV was trying to dodge the Homer & managed to happen inside a sweet spot inside the Homer's Turn Radius. Seems like a Homer thing to do to do Donuts to me.
Doing the "WOOOTWOOTWOOT!" thing as he runs in a circle on his side ala Curly from the 3 stooges... Got ya. Appropriately amusing.
What I would like to see in the game as some said wheeled vehicles, Docking rings so ships can dock ship to ship in space, manned turrets where a player can jump in and control the turret with out a camera. Like to see two types of suits one civilian and the other military. Also for SV or HV capability to go underwater.
And others are fine with mediocre.
You are correct, I am a perfectionist and ask the best of myself whatever the task and give my best work on any job. I kind of expect others to hold themselves to high standards as well but I understand few do. It doesn't mean I have to be happy with that result.
Fair enough. If you're purely after quantity over quality - then you might be disappointed.
We need bigger planets. Larger planets have larger seas and even whole seas. Imagine we can build underwater bases and have vehicles that can move under the sea, on the surface and fly. This would give a totally new dimension to this game.
Always wanted underwater caverns like episode 1's Naboo or gameplay like Subnautica has.

Honestly? Best feature this game, or any other Open Survival type game really, can have is a robust and useful way for modders to work their magic. If that happens ... the universe truly IS the limit.
It was mentioned, ages ago now when SV's lost their ability to fly underwater, that we'd be gaining specialised vessels to replace them in this role. With the current planetary scale most planets simply do not have areas of water that would benefit this - ocean planets being the exception. Also, there needs to be stuff underwater to make them worth-while. I'd imagine a UV (Underwater Vessel) would "fly" like and SV in the water, albeit at slower speeds, but be equipped more like an HV, with turrets (torpedos) and drills. I'd guess that better water mechanics would ideally be needed too.
I used to like my underwater bases, with underwater hangars - it was quite cool flying an SV into a large lake before entering the hangar. I wonder if the atmospheric force fields could hold out water, once it's properly implemented?
I personally expect this to happen no earlier than when we make the move to round planets, because both features would be an absolute savegame-breaker...so better add both at the same time. ^^
anyone know when they do these updates if thats when us new servers get our verified status on the server list ?

Seems the latest update did not fix the issue... Need to investigate what is happening here.
Is there a rough/approximate ETA on 7.0? Just that I am building a reasonably large CV and if its a case of a few weeks away then I would hold off for now and continue building it after. Unless its months away then I'll just continue. As those new textures and building tools sound cool.
