    Updated Tutorial:

    - Adjusted display times of messages
    - Added additional tasks for better explanation
    - Adjusted info and messages
    - Corrected writing, grammar and spelling errors (Thanks to all the contributors!)
    - Changed Alien NPCs (except of one) to Human "Scientist NPCs" on Apollon Station and Mining Hub to better fit the plot.
    - Disabled "Hints" while in Tutorial Mode
    - Updated map for planet view from space: now it resembles planet Earth - thanks to Needleship

    Please note: I am about to add a closet to one of the greenhouses and advice the player to drop the stuff he does not need anyore (Drills, Bulding, dead plants etc) as you will need all the space in the following "combat" chapters...and of course i will make sure that you get the tools again if you need them. This change might be added in the next update or in a hotfix ( i was just running out of time to find a good solution that does not break the tasks and/or confuses the player ;-)

    OK so took the plunge and went through the tutorial.

    Good work done on it but it is not quite there.

    1st thing that needs adding right at the start is get them to press F1 so they can see where to check for their objectives should they be unsure what to do next.

    2nd it wasnt clear to me how to power the HV (might have just been me skipping through it).

    3rd as they have just mined some promethium why not get them to refine some into power packs?

    I found the delay between issuing the directive and being able to complete it was far too long, I regularly found myself having to manually complete objectives.

    I actually found myself starving at one point, might be good to tell them to eat lol, other than the sandwich there wasnt much direction on this.

    A bit better direction would be good also in the greenhouse area, might be because ive played the game before but i wasnt expecting to have to use bio fuel for the generator.

    Would have been better if the SV once produced was missing a component that they had to make with a survival constructor to show them how to use that.

    Just my observations but overall alot better than the previous.

    Need more crystals in the field. At last check, there was EXACTLY enough to complete the tutorial mission. Unfortunately, I was learning how to use the drill and instead of picking up a crystal I accidentally mined it, and it went away, so I was stuck with not enough Pentaxid to continue the tutorial. I then had the choice to either wait until the crystals grew again (boring), or explore, which is strictly forbidden.

    Also, what level of polish are you looking to give the tutorial with regards to the game's current state? There are heaps of "minor issues", but my guess is much of it is likely to change down the road, so is the goal to improve it, call it good, and move on until the next pass, or does this thing need to be almost perfect?

    Got as far as the teleporter and it was inactive so it wouldn't let me use it.....tutorial over...?

    Note: It looked active till the log stuff popped up on screen and then after reading it I stepped on and nothing.

    Note 2: Nevermind, just replayed it and it was inactive before I got to it. It was only the objective marker I saw. Still no teleport on 2nd run through(thought it was an error on my side)

    id kill to have the admin core have a right click ability just like the alien core that able to place static human npc's as a option like the alien ones to place down on stations and bases in creative, lots of server owners build custom baes,pois and stations even admin buildings, be really cool to add the npc humans to the list!

    I currently cannot trigger F1, so i added this in the START chapter info and when starting Chapter 3.
    @HV > then you overread it. There is a note on how to activate
    @Prom > makes no sense at this state as you do not use promethium (and BioFuel is the "starter fuel" for now). I'll add advanced stuff in the not-yet-added upcoming chapter.
    @delay > which directive do you mean?
    @starting > there are 2 occassions, one when you go to the 2nd greenhouse. ;-) I might add one more early on.
    @Biofuel-Generator > maybe because you are used to Fuel Packs, but thats not the "basic learning" for the current game progress ^^
    @SV > that's not possible at that point and does not fit to the plot. Will also be added in the future chapters.

    As this is a fixed playfield, there should be up to 7-10 crystals (some are a bit farther away). Can you plz check in a NEW saave and maybe make a screenshot form "high above"?

    There is also a clear indicator how to pick them up (in an mbox, so you might have skipped reading it), which says to use F ;-)

    Did you activate godmode or godmode invisible at any point in your playsession..so within the savegame or in another savegame (without quitting the game in between)? I could not track down this effect, but it seems to be related to godmode.

    The human NPCs are currently in the "Alien" block group. You can use them from there already!

    As far as I can remember I have never used godmode in any of my games. Is there a way to check in console if it is enabled? I doubt it because I run out of food/air and have died (not in tutorial though and in 7.1 not 7.2 yet)

    Just deleted my 4 save games from previous Singleplayers and still no teleport. Only thing I have not vanilla is blueprints from workshop

    can u spawn them in via bp? it be cool to have a static crew on a ship or station

    Edit: I have just started a tutorial from the new game menu instead of from the main screen(New game>chose tutorial as my scenario) and the teleport worked. Not 100% if it was that or I had a bad angle when stepping to the teleport the first couple times. I made sure I went straight at it slowly from directly in front this time( over yellow lines centered). But got past it finally.

    Maybe next time check the console if there is a RED message appearing.
    Did you leave the game before resuming the chapter with the teleporter? Or did you play until there in one go?

    I'm pretty sure this is where you want spelling/grammar errors @Hummel-o-War ? I'll put them in a spoiler so it won't clutter the thread.
    Also, when reading these keep in mind that:

    1. I am not retyping every line so only the section I typed has an error in it (please ask for further clarification on lines if you need)
    2. Quotations " " mean a word/grammar was fixed and Brackets [ ] mean a word was inserted (also < > means my own comment)
    3. Spelling is corrected but grammar is sort of my subjective opinion since I was slightly confused by wording at some points

    My changes will be labeled under each PDA title and text and in the order it is written.

    "Oooh...I" am not feeling too well
    Food Poisoning from the "raw food..." <remove the word "stuff">
    "I'm getting too old for this..." <remove "sh...">

    I am really hungry - "let's make a sandwich" <this error will pop up again in the future - "let's" has an apostrophe S, not "lets">

    back into your locker in the Equipment Room after "some...er...cleaning." <remove spaces>

    PDA wristband beeps
    "Open or close" devices with F. <remove "Access" - I don't understand what is being said by saying Access first>

    Awesome. Now "let's" open the food processor

    food processor "inventory (Input)." <the inventory actually says "Input" for the food processor so maybe add this in to avoid confusion?>

    Now "I" just need to select the Sandwich with a "left mouse click" from [the] list of available meals

    click RIGHT mouse button "to remove and consume" the meal <release sounds odd>

    Ahhh...[a] sandwich in the morning...

    Maybe [first] I should have a quick nap.

    "Go to Bed" <task box on the right side of the screen should be capitalized Go>

    ??? but really, can you please drop your suit and equipment in yourself? <I don't understand this line but it sounds strange, maybe something like "could you please pick up your suit yourself?" where am I -dropping- my suit if I don't have one yet?> *EDIT: I think I understand, just the context threw me off a little. Maybe you could write it as "but really, could you please drop your suit off in person next time?"

    But the note might be here for a reason, "I" think.

    I am not "inside-out," that's a positive "I" think

    This bike will work best "when the environment is not too hilly".

    have the Ore Scanner in your inventory to "reveal ore rocks" beneath the ground

    Press (L) twice to activate and deactivate "night" vision <night misspelled>

    Put them in a slot "on" your toolbar "and when equipped" use [the] Right Mouse Button to open

    find the Lever to open the "Hangar doors" <space needed>

    Open the "Hangar door"

    next to the "PERIMETER" BEACON

    Set [the] mode to STONE REMOVAL

    Do not forget to pick [up] your bike by pointing at it and "pressing" SHIFT + F!

    Hold (Shift) to sprint, but watch your STAMINA "bar" on the lower left! <replaced "indicator" with "bar">

    Note: STAMINA recovers slowly when walking at normal speed, faster while standing "still, and instantly when consuming drinks or medicines - or when using furniture like beds, couches, etc."

    Use "mousewheel to" increase or reduce camera distance to the vessel. <missing a space>

    If you have a "NIGHTVISION, tap the (L) button twice to activate it!"

    Awesome idea, IDA. But where do "I" get cake on a "lifeless" Moon? <not liveless>

    I "suggest talking" to the Officer.

    First you should smelt "ore into ingots" in our furnace <replaced "to" with "into">

    There is some ore left, but "I" suggest "you drop all the ores from your inventory into" the furnace as well. <capitalize I, removed "should", "inventory" was misspelled, removed "ingots" since at this point in the tutorial I have not seen ingots yet>

    Now let's wait until all [the] ore is processed.

    The constructors can also smelt ores "into ingots, but the furnace can do it faster." <replaced "to" with "into" and merged both sentences>

    unlike the "constructors, the furnace" can not ... Magnesium, Promethium, "Pentaxid, and" Crushed Stones. <added comma after constructors and after Pentaxid>

    For unlocking devices, "weapons, and tools" ... These are acquired by leveling up. <added comma after weapons, "acquired" misspelled>

    move all the Ingots, "Promethium, and" the Nutrient Solution to its inventory! <added comma>

    We need to create at least "3x Growing Plot (Concrete), 3x Window Block L from the BUILDING BLOCKS tab, 1x Multitool T1, and 1x Multi Charge" from the TOOLS & WEAPONS "tab. Use" the Icons <removed "and"s and added commas, added space after "tab."

    Place the window by LEFT MOUSE "clicking"

    Grab the O2 Bottles, the Bio "Fuel, and" all the sprouts! <added comma>

    and check your "FOOD bar" on the lower LEFT <replaced "indicator" with "bar">

    Seems the alien sprouts "survived centuries" frozen in the Alien vessel without damage <removed "the">

    One of those days, "I" guess...

    That's as far as I've gone so far since I don't think I can continue it further right now. I'll update my post later with more of the chapters if there are more corrections.

    I get ignored now :)
    but I see, a red alien core isn't needed anymore, still the BP will get red nevertheless, so Creative Mode and sbp still are needed. I update my howto.

    Any chance we can get them in a regular way? (without the need to cheat?)
    Not that i would hesitate to use a cheat in EGS SP. I just ask because i hope there will be more variations (especially Crew sitting on consoles, instead in front of small computers).
    Also will Crew be developed any further, will they get skills, names, equipment or will there be even some way to change their appearance?

    @Prom > makes no sense at this state as you do not use promethium (and BioFuel is the "starter fuel" for now). I'll add advanced stuff in the not-yet-added upcoming chapter. - sounds good, this is the problem with people who have played the game checking it lol
    @delay > which directive do you mean? - 1st is if you do the tasks out of sequence they dont complete an example is when it say collect your other gear from the storages, if you dont go to the storage for the item that is 1st on the list it doesnt complete that objective. 2nd is when it gives you a task to do if you do it too quickly it again doesnt register the task as done.
