    Update: December 24, 2017:

    Changelog: Alpha 7.5.7 (Build 1433)

Please note that if you have resumed a game in the previous build B1432 (which was public only during 1h), the ready-to-spawn blueprints in your factory were lost unfortunately. We are sorry for the inconveniences. If you did not update to B1432, everything should be fine.

    Bug fixes:
    - Fixed: Problem with picking up and dropping items and playfield loading

    ========

    Update: December 24, 2017:

    Changelog: Alpha 7.5.6 (Build 1431)

    Bug fixes:

    - Fixed: HUD name tag of structure still on screen after being disassembled & is being repositioned constantly.
    - Fixed: More use cases with playfield non-stop disconnects

    ========

    Update: December 23, 2017:

    Changelog: Alpha 7.5.6 (Build 1430)

    Bug fixes:

    - Fixed: Playfield non-stop disconnects
    - Fixed: Problem that sometimes the game hung up
    - Fixed: Location of the Sun changes after changing playfields.

    ========

    Update: December 22, 2017:

    Changelog: Alpha 7.5.6 (Build 1428)

    Changes:
    - Solar panels with stand are not airtight anymore
    - Updated wreckage POI "Old Base"

    Bug fixes:
    - Battery is being drained when returning to save game.
    - Most structures on a playfield are deleted on load/unload
    - Problem that no resources were spawning on planet Kayam in scenario Shadows of Starlight

    ========

    Changelog: Alpha 7.5.5 (Build 1427)

    PDA Update:
    - Added dedicated missions for Akua and Omicron.
(You will only see the one which matches the playfield you start your game)
    - The Omicron Mission has additional steps (sealing a room, managing oxygen supply, etc) and will gift you a Multitool, O2 Bottles and a Ventilator for demonstration purposes (usually you need to level up and craft them, but these devices are also a reward for playing the Robinson Protocol Mission on Omicron)
    - Both missions will reward you with a Motorbike and an additional Fiber Plant
    - The Robinson Protocol only works when starting the SINGLEPLAYER DEFAULT survival scenario
    - This is only a starter-guide and does NOT replace the recommendation to play the TUTORIAL.
    - The mission is not mandatory. You can always skip it.

Added solar power to starter wreckage structures:
    - Replaced Generator/Fuel with Solarpanel/Capacitor
    - Removed "Convenience" devices (Fridge, Ammobox, Container) to make it a real shelter
    > Please tell us what you think!

Tweaked content of personal container in starter wreckage structures on Omicron/Akua:
    - Omicron: Added Corn and Fiber sprout to Personal Container
    - Akua: Added Fiber sprout to Personal Container

    Changes:
    - Increased light angle to 180° on all light models
    - Solar panels are now airtight and have higher output (increased from 20kW to 30kW)
    - Increased stack sizes for Sea Weed and Water Jug
    - Updated screens on some console blocks
    - Added Unknown Artifacts (on barren and lava planets): thanks to Kieve
    - Added new Starter Wreckage ("Very Old Base"): Thanks to Dinkelsen
    - Updated Localization and PDA

    Bug Fixes:
    - Fixed: Problem that battery could store more energy than its capacity
    - Fixed: Forcefield block broke apart due to SI when placed vertically
    - Fixed: SP difficulty settings carried over to MP
    - Fixed: Placing a Forcefield on a flat surface was causing Z-Fighting
    - Fixed: Problem that more than 20 solar panels could be placed per structure
    - Fixed: Loca PDA: JPN and GREEK and others are not shown in PDA INFO action tasks
    - Fixed: Several internal exceptions

    Updated Empyrion Admin Helper (EAH):
Patch notes - 1.40.3.4 (working with Alpha 7.3 and 7.5)
    - Added: New Items
    - Added: Discord Admin/Global/Faction implementation (thanks to Mortlath)
    - Added: Config: Discord --> Set Global and Admin channel
    - Added: Faction: Discord channel
    - Added: SendDevLogs: New Crash folder included
    - Added: Structures: Set to Admin faction, allow multiple

Really curious about this; why limit the number of solar panels? They have extremely low power density per unit volume and require a lot of unobstructed surface area; isn't that balanced enough without having to hard-limit the number?

    1) Replacing generators with solar panels at starter wreckages is a good idea. Unstable power source at very start of the game would provide some more challenge for players. Last time I landed just 500 m from prometium deposit and easily prepared wreckage for a long-time production cycle. And how about removing small generators to level 5 or 7? It must force player to build solar panels for a while and make them more useful and needed.
    2) Removing Fridge\Ammobox\Container is also a good choice. But I'm not sure about container. Any shelter can have an improvised cargo area, then why not an improvised container made from scrap?
    3) Solar panels airtight? It must be with reinforced glass to provide pressure keeping (for future cosmic use). Sloped solar panels can't be airtight - only the flat ones and only at one side (if possible). IMO.

The solar panels are “devices “. They have a certain amount of drain on the cpu. Therefore, they must be worked into the game and balanced with turrets and all the other devices. A very difficult task to satisfy all the different player styles. Great job so far IMO

Since this update, I'm getting regular freezes (for about a third of a second) quite regularly, when I've been playing for a while. It's not your normal FPS drop, rather it is a freeze for a fraction of a second. When the game recovers I can often be facing an entirely different direction - it's like when the camera flip happens when looking at a vessel with the external view, but I'm running around on foot outside - i.e. no excessive light sources or anything.

Anyone else? It only happens after I've been in game for an hour or so, not moving playfield or saving / reloading during that time. Most odd.

I'm suspicious of the possibility of Memory Leaks hiding in the game.

Yes, I've not got my second monitor active at this time, so I cannot keep an eye on things during play. I know if I save / exit then relaunch and reload things will be fine again for a while.

Could this be a client settings thing... I know at one point a few months back the game reset all it's options to high after an update.

nm - just read that it doesn't affect play-field movement.

On another note: While my Solar Panels appear to be working again - i.e. the LEDs are illuminated and I see the Output values going up and down based on sunlight - the Battery is NOT charging, despite my average output being far higher than consumption.

To be clear: my Base is still burning fuel despite my Solar Panel output being far higher than consumption.

Thank you so much Eleon! So happy you chose to make the solar panels energy production more scalable to real life!

I like the idea of an improvised scrap container. It does make sense that solar panels are airtight, as this is requisite for the chemical reactions inside the solar panels to take place. Indeed, some solar panels for roofing have polycarbonate or reinforced silicate layers to protect them from the elements. Sloped solar panels can be airtight if you build sloped concrete/glass/ building material around it. Also, a small generator should be available fairly early on(around level 3 or 4). Being able to CONSTRUCT a solar panel is way more material and knowledge intensive than being able to construct a small fuel-powered generator. So, having the player mass produce solar panels early on is totally non-immersive. Besides, we need to look at what solar panels are in the scheme of energy generation. Yes, a survival solar panel makes sense. However, having a solar farm should be a mid to long-term player goal, meant to ease the players constant trips for fuel and fuel packs.

Just fyi > The solar panels with "stand" will be made "non-airtight" again. But for all the others, it makes sense, so they can be put "in" the wall and do not need extra layers. Of course this is a weak-point then ^^ (But thats bascially the creators choice)
