    And yet we still don't have back the missing boost info that used to be available on a stored suit mouseover... before 8.0

    Reduced XP gain when picking up player grown plants-----
    Just revert this back, until you have SOMETHING else in game to make up for it.
    Tedium and grinding is not a selling feature.

    I have nothing but praise for you guys at Eleon but reducing XP for plants in bases. I was on and noticed I got 38xp for picking up one spice. Now that is one change I do not like and it is a very large reduction compared to what it was.

    We love the change to this. My wife does all the farming and cooking while I do the ship building and then she does the interiors. She always out leveled me in the beginning of the game just by planting and harvesting as I was building. With the change we can level at the same rate and I am not forced into picking crops to catch up to her again. LOL

    Having over 3500 hours in game I know how to level up quickly. It's just the amount of the reduction seems a bit much compared to what it was.

    No matter what the dev's decide to do, Vets will know exactly how to power level in a very short time. There is almost no way to stop that. BUT the problem is a draconian chop to exp that new players might be using to help them and a VERY sharp stick in the eye on why you want to introduce even more tedium at this point in the game cycle. Tedium and grinding are not gameplay, they are the things you have to do to play and level, they should not be so painful that you just say no and walk away.

    I am using a modified config.yaml that worked in 8.1. I did add the new plant changes that were made to the config as well. I am also using the Titan wreckage in the static playfield yaml as well. Is anyone else getting these errors?

    For now I am rolling back to 8.1 until I can set a stable 8.2 version working.

    After Wednesday's hotfix, many of my server's asteroids and POIs are no longer regenerating. Many planetside structures have been shunted ~10m in random directions, and docked ships are randomly disappearing and being moved to millions of meters out in space.

    I love the new arid starter planet. My toon is currently hugging the emergency 02gen that I barely got up in time before I ran out of 02. Only thing I wonder is if the arid planet has the big arachnid's then it will feel like home!

    Yes, partly with us, with the docked ships, the players can often help themselves with the "undock" command. The regeneration does not start, I have previously reported by a player and verified :-(
    The structures also consume a lot more energy and are powerless after only a short time.

    Write a config.ecf containing ONLY the entries you have modified. This significantly reduces the likelihood of a collision during changes.

    I think this would be a good moment to reiterate that the tech tree is not fun in it's current implementation.

    Would this explain why all our fridges' contents were Spoiled food when we logged in last night after the update? The Food processor contents were fine though.

    This is the first time it's happened on our server. Usually our Base battery is close to, or at, 100%. I noticed it was 60% last night, which is strange. Crossing my fingers for this evening now. ;)

    8.2.1 - Base DISAPPEARED. It was there when I went a few hundred meters to get ore from an autominer - it has not returned. Playfields reset. local STEAM files verified.... base is still gone. Three of us have verified the issue so it isn't just a single user experience.

    However, the base disappearing act happened yesterday on 07/18/2018 (yesterday) after weeks of playing.
    'We" suspect that removing the Robinson Protocol may have impacted our game. We built a base on wreckage and expanded it some time ago.... it's just a big crater now.

    Item 2. Auto-miners are set [via server] to not deplete ore. However, two promethium deposits were near each other, both with auto-miners, and one mine just stopped working . The ore icon still shows on the map but the non-working mine, even with power, says no energy source nearby (or something like that).
    The prometheum mine that stopped producing is just a mystery especially as the second nearby mine is fine.

    Item 3. This one probably is 'our' fault. The server setup, administered by other than me, tried to follow your script on how to do stuff [can't explain what at this time] and it didn't work and cobbled together something. The result was that no POI, etc., on the planet surface would regenerate [home world only]. An abandoned POI between planet and moon does. Not sure if what was done to make our planet initially just messed up the reconstitution of POIs, but probably likely. Perhaps the script instructions could be clearer - I'd be clearer too if I knew what I was writing about.... I just get to experience the results.

    Item 4. Dynamic changes to components for production like plants to make food, etc. are okay if they happen at major intervals only. It would be nice to get a master list, e.g. on a web page, containing what is needed to make food or items - so that we don't have to mouse over everything to figure out what's happened and then do it again a week later.... <sigh>

    No real complaints about version 8 although an empty crater instead of a base and its inventory, plants and food, isn't much of a POI so tourism has slacked a bit.

    Is the arid starter planet not available on multiplayer servers? Is there some setting I have to change to make it available? I always do a full server wipe, but still only seeing Tallodar and Akua as starting options.
