    Hi Galactic Survivalists,

    We just released a small patch on the EXPERIMENTAL branch.

    CHANGELOG: Alpha EXPERIMENTAL 8.6.1 (Build 1874)

    Changes:
    - Added new T0 HV Stock Prefab. Thanks to:
    XCaliber (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1503757615) -> with some slight texture adjustments
    - Old HV T0 does not need Sathium anymore (no hardened steel used anymore)
    - Removed cobalt requirement for Turret Projectile template
    - Added new Junk T1 and T2 POIs: thanks to jmcburn & rainyday
    - Updated TalonTemple POI and TSO Akua Orbit
    - Updated color masks on Open Cockpit 2
    - Updated block info for survival tool
    - Blue selection box now gets removed if 'Selection' checkmark is uncheck
    - Made DSL control parameters available in gameoptions.yaml

    Bug Fixes:
    - Fixed: Parts of bases/ships morphing/appearing on other structures.
    - Fixed: Spawned docked ships don't move anymore if vessel it was docked to is gone
    - Fixed: When placing HoverThruster, there should not be in CP: RCS missing, Thruster missing
    - Fixed: LCDs from previous savegames turn black when being edited
    - Fixed: Falling parts of a base had no texture
    - Fixed: Issue with Emissive textures with bloom enabled
    - Fixed: Bug for sector map 3d pathing
    - Fixed: Internal exception linked to solar panel
    - Fixed: Cut removes mesh collider

    Bug Fixes:
    - Fixed 05473: Issue with Player names in factions
    - Fixed 05471: External camera view too far away from long CV
    - Fixed 02231: Fixed weapon: destroyed weapons are firing "out of the nowhere"
    - Fixed 05475: Replace mode of the texture & color tool when used on terrain causes the game to freeze in the creative mode
    - Fixed: 05474: Vessel Multitool beam is not visible
    - Fixed: Beam of Retractable Drill Turret not visible

    If we look at our Milkyway and transfer this to Empyrion you must be willing to initiate a Hyperspace Jump and go to sleep for 12 hours :D;)

    How bout fixing cockpit 6 and legacy 6 their crosshair back to the center, wich i reported long time ago ...
    Btw, the picture of legacy 6 is wrong when you rmb with the block in your hand to choose

    Is anyone else having an issue with mining.. and then suddenly being placed on the surface? This is on my Private Server.

    The log indicates...

    "11-11:16:37.332 06_16 -WRN- Entity 'Andre Merrick' with id=1063 on pos=(2980.1, 33.9, -4070.6) is out of the playfield (1), reposition it to (2980.1, 62.0, -4070.6)"

    That was the point of my snarky comment ;) They kind of butchered the original and its lost a lot of its charm.

    Agreed. There's such a thing as "overusing" textures. You can repaint it though to look closer to the original pretty quickly.

    I hope not. If they waste time expanding the already mostly empty game before they fill up what they have I would be pretty disappointed. Things that will actually benefit the player like ship crew, more block types(windows still need a ton of love), walking on moving ships, npc AI, npc ship AI, territory control, and on and on and on...

    though I agree that there are more important things, randomly generating those star systems is already implemented in the game. All we need is for those star systems to be generated and a way to get there. I like to go from planet to planet destroying every drone base but I agree with your overall point.

    I expect to be in a minority with this comment, but please keep the Cobalt requirment. Defending a base with only sentry turrets and a gun is a bit tougher; once the projectile turrets go in, you're invincible against drone waves (which is boring, imho). I like the sense of progression that the Cobalt added (meant you had to exploring in slightly more dangerous environments to get some).

    It's too hard on newcomers.. unless there are some hints on where to get it. Issue being you are "told" to build a base early in robinson quest, and at that time you won't have cobalt, which means you will have a really hard time defending it.

    I had my problems getting cobalt (only 2nd start for me) meaning i had to carefully consider how I could hide my base and make sentry guns work. Little frustrating, but afterwards, I do agree, it made for a more challenging and fun game experience. More realistic you would have to hide your base on a hostile planet.

    This feeling is mutual still. Even after having now played more than 2000h I still get haunted by the decission what to do first...Defense Tower or Base..Defense Tower or Base. Most of the last games I did go for one of my Defense Tower. Placed on a dominant piece of Terrain and attracted Drones with it. After noticing from which directions the Drones approach I built my Base 50-100m away from the Tower.
    Btw., you will need a bit of Cobalt for them too but you have more time and security for building your Stuff when one of those Guard Towers keeps the Drones of your back:D

    I hope YES!!! Warp to others Starsystems should be the next thing to do. It is for sure not a waste of time!
