Back after a break need help with shields and public core

    Hey all, I am back after a long hiatus and am loving 1.0. The game feels much improved and I love the new block shapes and content.

    I have a few questions. I am using some of my old trusted BPs and I cannot seem to get a shield to work. I don't play with CPU or Weight because they piss me off. I have placed the shield on my HV along with a Pentaxid tank and it never charges. Am I missing something?

    Also it used to be a thing to change the core to Public and get experience when destroying structures. This does not seem to work anymore as Public is no longer an option. Also I don't get experience when picking items from my own farms. Is this the new normal?

    Thanks again for any help. This game has come so far and I am really enjoying all the changes.

    Shields wont work on a docked ship.

    Public was removed do to exploits.

    Well that would explain it. I didn't try to actually undock the ship. Thanks for the quick reply.
