For anyone who is experiencing the issue with the Brown Screen/Brown Squares on Startup of Empyrion, we have been tracking this issue and trying to nail down the root cause of this. Unfortunately this seems to be related directly to Unity and certain Audio Software that comes bundles with either MSI or ASUS Computers.

For MSI this is Nahimic Audio Engine
for ASUS this is ASUS Sonic Suite/ASUS Sonic Studio

Please disable this software before launching Empyrion to solve the issue until we can get this fixed with Unity.

    Example:

If you do experience this issue, please continue to send your Output Logs and DXDIAG Information to myself at [email protected] as this will help both us and Unity in tracking down the root cause of this issue.

    Thank You!

Hi, i'm experiencing some troubles launching the game since the latest Patches... I never get further than the Loading screen. The menu doesn't pop up. Is this also a cause of this? As i have an MSI pc...

    Thanks in advance

Exact same problem here. In the logs the error starts with the Assembly-CSharp.dll not working. I dunno what's up but it sucks. MSI PC here too

    Oops. Sorry for necro-posting v_v

Did you guys try disabling Nahimic? It solved the problem for me.
