Build:V1.7.1.1 3639 Mode:Survival Mode: Dedicated Server SERVER NAME: (set up a local dedicated server) SEED-ID: 1011345 If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS:- Reproducibility:Sometimes Severity:medium (really annoying when it oocurs) Type: Physics/Collision Summary:SV/CV doesn't keep height in atmosphere when not piloted, Collision when docking causes the docking-target to get pushed around Description: Sometimes the physics of a unpiloted SV/CV will end up in a weird state, where the ship will no longer able to maintain altitude automatically and starts to slowly sink to ground. Sinking happens in little steps, the rate is typically not higher than something between 0.1-1 m/s. When in this state, collision will also start acting weird: If you try to dock another vessel, the unpiloted vessel will get pushed around wildly. This can even happen when the unpiloted vessel is on ground and may even continue if you manage to dock. Had some quite wild rodeos lately due to this. Steps to Reproduce: 1) go onto a planet playfield.(*) 2) spawn a CV with fuel and have it hover. 3) Pilot it, leave the pilot seat. 4) If the CV starts sinking, spawn an SV and try to dock. So far only been able to reproduce it in multiplayer. *)I am not sure wether it matters, but I have had better success reproducing the issue on planets that are far away from the galaxy center. (In Reforged Eden the Decayed cluster is a safe bet for me to run into this issue). Given the randomness in appearance that could however be an coincidence. As an example, the collision failing when trying to dock occured in a stream from spanj not too long ago from 44:50 to about 48:40
I have previously reported the ship sinking issue in a vanilla SP game on the starting planet. It's really easy to reproduce in mp or coop especially. Very 0bviously a bug or technical issue.
Do you have a link t o the bug report? Wasn't able to find one for the issue. Might as well close mine if it is already known.
No it's not public. Don't close this, they'll file it under the appropriate area when they look at it.
Hi just to reply to this the team is working on a fix for this & when it is ready we will reply here once more. For this in particular we are aware of it & will approach it in a future release.
(This is our first bug report so let us know if we are missing anything and we can add it) Build: V1.7.3 3649 22-03:45 Mode: Survival Mode: P2P Coop SERVER NAME: N/A SEED-ID: 705198 If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: DontKnow Reproducibility: Sometimes Severity: Major Type: Docking Summary: CV starts moving on it's own when SV docks Description: Upon docking multiple SVs to multiple CVs we have noticed an issue where the CV will start to move on it's own and we will no longer be able to control it. This will continue until the docked ship is undocked and flown away. This issue happens both on planet and in space and with multiple CVs and SVs. It also worked a few times after we restarted our games but would reappear after a short time playing. Steps to Reproduce: 1) Spawn in a CV 2) Spawn in an SV 3) attempt to land the SV on the CV (this may take a few tries) 4) Notice the CV starts moving on it's own Screenshots, Crash Logs, any other Relevant Information or Download links: Here's a video of us reproducing it locally
