For more information see here Bug Report Template

    Build: 1.11.8 4531
    Mode: Survival, Peer-2-Peer Co-op
DLC Installed: None (though problem also happens in RE2 scenarios).

    MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: No

    Reproducibility: Always
    Severity: High

    Type: Enemy behavior

Summary: Drones don't fire at players on-foot in co-op (built-in local server), except if they're in a multi-seat vehicle.

Description: In co-op, drones refuse to attack players. Sometimes they'll engage in attack behaviors (such as facing & following the players or making passes) but their weapons won't fire, other times they just ignore. Except if the players get into a multi-seat vehicle with defense turrets, then the drones attack properly.

    Steps to Reproduce:
    1) Start a local 2-player co-op game on Skillon & find a nearby Damaged Drone (Cannon) flying around.
    2) Have both players in the vicinity of the drone, or even shoot it a few times.
    3) Notice that the drone does not attack either player.
    4) Quit the game & server, then try joining the game in Single Player.
    5) The drone now attacks unprovoked, though sometimes you might have to jump-jet high enough in front of it to get its attention. (Or if that doesn't work, unload the area, quit, rejoin, then approach a drone again, & it will attack.)

    Other Relevant Information:
So far confirmed with the Damaged Drone (Cannon) in vanilla on Skillon, as well as equivalents of Large Minigun Drones & the Siege Drone Gunship in various RE2 scenarios (where this issue was first discovered). We were told that was an issue with EGS itself, not RE2, so we tried to recreate it in vanilla. And sure enough, it also happens in EGS.)

This is ruining the whole game. Drones are no threat whatsoever, unless we get into vehicles, & we haven't even had to make turrets on our base because the "attacks" are harmless. :(

Hi can you provide a copy of the vanilla save game here with the players let in the location you describe happens ?

How to supply a save game for a report:

    Go to:
    For SP or Co-op:
Right click on "Empyrion" in your steam library > Properties > Local files > Browse > Saves > Games
    or: SteamLibrary\steamapps\Common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves\Games
    1. Right click on the save folder & place your mouse cursor over 'Send to' create a compressed copy of it (or use winzip or 7zip)
    2. Use a file hosting site like mediafire, dropbox or google drive & add a share link to it
    3. If you are sending us the info via an email please add a share link to the file or files you have uploaded & some details such as a link to your report

Here's the save file with us two in at least decent vicinity of a probe:
    https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/u1p7...ey=evyru7aqnblepwjosoioa8fzn&st=dbqgikz8&dl=0

But it turns out... even simply starting the game in Co-op Mode already causes the issue, even with no second player joining! :O
I can go in there all by myself (in Co-op mode) & dance around in the probe's pale purple spotlight & nothing happens.
But as soon as I come back to the game in Single Player, doing so gets me shot at again.
