So I'm playing (slowly) 1.5 storyline, just at "Get a Beer", but decided to focus on getting a good SV for a while, so I'm in space near the starter planet and gathering ore & such. Ran across the Alloy Synthesis Factory and since I'm "Friendly" with the Polaris Faction decided to pick up some rares from the rock it's on. If Friendly or above it's supposed to allow mining in a territory with no penalty ... WRONG! My Polaris reputation immediately crashed. Huh? What am I missing here? Is this a protected POI for the storyline or something?
If you mined the asteroid the poi is on you're essentially mining their home, i.e. the poi in which case you are damaging the poi's blocks.
Ah ... so the POI is the whole asteroid, not the Factory plopped onto a rock. Makes a weird sense. Now that I've had time to recall it I remember ages ago when I first started EGS I mined the Pirates asteroid and they went nuts. Totally forgot that, Thx!
