One of our server players has mentioned that there is a way to modify the factory so that you can only add completed components before the factory assembles it. We're currently running the game in a survival mode and disabled the factory which ads a new dimension to the game. If it was possible to have the factory only accept completed components and used as an assembler, I would certainly give that a try but I can't see where that setting is enabled.
