    very nice...
    How do you use all those different weapons together? Does the turrets fire on there own? I want to use this for hunting for meat, mining, etc....

    the 4 gatling guns on the front are pilot controlled the 2 minigun turrets and rocket launcher find enemies on their own but they can be manned by players
    had to destroy plasma launcher that was on the back becouse it had tendency to shot the rocket launcher "little info in case you would want to add morre turrets :3" that causedd problems...>.> with this setup evrything is fine so far

    Havy-Tank-GV for Farming Meet , AutoGuns do the Work for you on agressive Animals, also with twin manual Gattling for support .

    Lets see if I can add something a little different for you all to enjoy laughing at. :)

    I wanted a GV but nothing quite met my needs of either size or features so this is my first attempt at making a vehicle (don't laugh too hard).

    First off I wanted a utility vehicle that would allow me to be away from my base (when I manage to get that built) for extended runs, have a fairly small footprint so easy to get around in and have all the necessities for extended trips.

    After watching a few youtube videos I also decided I wanted to make the critical systems redundant just in case I took some heavy damage I could limp back home or have the tools needed to make repairs on the spot.

    For your viewing amusement I present the "Red Neck Space Truck" (factory dents optional)

    Note to Developers: Could we get some landing gear for GV class vehicles so we don't have to spend half our time removing dents please? And a drop down boarding ladder that wouldn't sickout looking ugly as sin so we could actually get in the vehicle without using a jet pack all the time?

    After lifting the cockpit (smallest footprint one I could find) 1 block above the core (not all spaces are hull blocks) I started working on the front as I had the best idea of what I wanted there to start with.

    I like the rounded look and hope it will help not getting stuck on other things as much.

    Next the 2 thrusters (I like good breaks) and 3 forward facing lights (a bit of a waste as they all kind of point at the same spot) I tucked the first generator and RCS unit just behind everything and under the front of the cockpit so it was covered. There is a second generator and RCS unit under the center-rear of the cockpit as backups.

    Kind of like a boat I left a walk way down both sides and in the back, just enough room to move around on while standing on the deck. My thinking was that if the power is on so I can use my equipment it's a bit difficult to reach everything with it hovering above the ground or slowly sliding off to the side, this way I go with it regardless.

    The next redundant elements were O2 tanks and fuel cells, 1 set on either side (fuel cells are half covered by back of cockpit). My hope is that if I am taking damage it will not often hit both sides disabling my vehicle. I also added a second hover engine underneath to make sure I didn't have an overload issues and as a redundant element like the twin thrusters on each side.

    Side note: after watching some more videos and reading a LOT more on the forum I'm not sure it will matter how redundant things are if a fuel cell or O2 tank blows up right behind/underneath the cockpit OUCH!!!!

    On opposite sides I have my crafting station so I can process materials in the field and a place to refill my tanks without returning to base.

    The rest of the space I filled with storage boxes to fill in the gaps and make it more uniform in general.

    The last spot I filled got a stack of 3 refrigerator for storing perishables until I have time to return to base and process them.

    Weapons:
    I don't like the placement or how they work all that well but I did add 2 gattling guns to the front corners and a plasma turret on the roof. If I take off the guns I might replace the front center (useless) light with 1 gattling gun just so I have something to shoot with, still deciding if the weapons are worth the effort at this point.


    I'd like some feedback on my first attempt and any suggestions are welcome (building is FUN!)

    i kinda went with an APC theme. It has 1 gatling in front, 2 turrets ( 1 can be accessed from inside ), 2 passanger seats, oxygen station, 2 oxygen tanks, 2 fuel tanks, constructor, 4 crates and 2 fridges.

    I already posted this on SV but this is actually a GV or more exactly a hybrid, a GV that can fly, yep if you take out the hoover engine and place enough thruster in its place whenever you hit Booster, (usually Shift+Space) instead of a jump your vehicle takes flight, probably just a bug at this point, but allows for interesting concepts like this one, it´s a dropship that can act as a moving weapons platform, or an attack support vessel, now, as you might expect, it’s not as responsive as a SV, you can’t Roll or Pitch just Yaw and still needs some work on the turrets placement so they can be manned from the inside but hope you enjoy it….

    Just a reminder, boosters work with planet gravity so don’t try to take this to space, you’ve been warned….

    Do robots have genders?

    If so a well placed gatling gun or a some of the cone shaped blocks could make all the difference.

    Reasonably small, makes ascending and descending mountains fairly easy
    Great for killing unwanted Arachnids and other nasties that may come near your dig site :)
    High mounted Mini-gun, shouldn't accidentally remove vessel parts like your energy cell storage etc ( it has happened to me :rolleyes: )

    The change in SV planet side fuel cost has made me revisit HV's. So I made myself a little work truck to go out forage and mining in. Over all I have found it quite useful. It is fast and very fuel efficient. The sides are doors covering up cargo, fridges, fuel and a constructor. I use the turret on top to start the dig if the ore is deep and point the flood light into the hole. By leaving the truck on the turret keeps me safe while mining. Process the ore on the way home and the ingots are ready to go =)
