how do i make my own say alien outpost area or system? my idea is i want to set up a major end game enemy alien fleet yard like the alien outpost but instead of a station its a fleet of alien CVs and fighters

You don't need a server to use it. It's run locally and you can create a playfield yaml (space/planet/moon) with it without fiddling with yaml syntax (which can be a litle bitchy from time to time ) If you need any assistance, feel free to ask. /jmc
k well where going to try to do it again friday but we turned masperdon into a giant astroid trying to make a astrod field with a poi destroyer talos mk 2 and 20 drones it dident work, so will need your help
added you. But i'm off to work soon. Back in 12hrs. Here are some points: - First of all: Do you want to create a space playfield or a planet playfield? As you edited masperon, which is a planet, not an orbit. If you want to create a space/orbit playfield: - first copy and rename a folder containing a space playfield (e.g. SpaceAsteroidsMasperon) in your 'playfields' folder to e.g. 'MySpaceTemplate' - you could also start off fresh but it's easer if you modify an existing one for the first try. - open that copied one up in EPD - add a random POI (maybe a CV you have created, with an alien core) - Important: it has to have a groupname set, otherwise it won't show up in the dropdown for random POIs. But you can send me your playfield and maybe one of your epbs and i try to set it up for you. So you can see how it's done. I'm not sure though, if those really work the way SixxGuns said and as you want it to be, but i'll give it a try. Haven't tried this myself yet either. /jmc

bro been a lot of help, im just greatful you reply ill test out 7.0 and finish my boss arena idea with @jmcburn but the whole shipyards thing was too soon and might have hurt the playerbase, if i dont like whats going on on my defult settings server for 7.0 ill take a break and come back
nah dont be worried...its a move in the right direction for physical shipyards....yes, might be a pain now, and yes might need some tweaking, but dont see it as being final. keep playing, keep creating, and keep learning.
so, you wanted stomething like this? You still need a drone base somewhere in the map, though, because the ships have to be added to the dronebase's 'SpaceVessel' section. /jmc
still need to add the alien guns on it i ll do that once 7.0 hits and np with drone base just have the boss be near it then
Doesn't even have to be near it. Just in the same playfield. The AlienBoss got it's own coordinates and spawns independently. I've set it up as 'SpacePatrol' (patrols around a defined centerpoint with a fixed speed) for now, but you can also set it to 'Immobile' or as 'Freighter' (with a predefined path defined by waypoints) But i think all that should also work with 6.0 already. Didn't read anything about a change in AI. /jmc

No, take your time. Just saying you could, if you wanted to. I just slapped 4 'AlienTurrets(Space)' on it to test it for now. No, you don't need ammo (or fuel), when you place an alien core and alien weapons. EDIT: playfield enclosed, so you can take a look, how it's done. /jmc
