Now that the tutorial has it's own button. I'm no longer am able to remove that question at the start about the missions. My starter has no missions.
Just before the tutorial had a button, I could turn it all off in the pda.yaml.
There is only one thing in there that has an auto start and changing it to false has no effect.
I really don't want to have to hit escape every time I want to start a new game
Any help here would be nice. :)

Yes the PDA.yaml is the correct place to change this.

Just remove your planet type from the list of planets the tutorial activates on.

    Sadly this didn't work.
I compared your PDA to mine.
    In the ChapterTitle: pda_OuuSW
Which is the section that starts IDA up where you can escape through or do the starting quests.
    You have VisibleOnStartPlayfieldTypes: remarked out.
My pda file doesn't even have that section in there. My game is on build 3034
So there was nothing for me to remark out.

And I have tried changing these to Never.
    Activatable: Always
    Visibility: Always
    That didn't work at all.

I'm almost to the point of changing the Dialogues.ecf and flat removing the whole section.

It shouldn't be this hard to shut down IDA at the start.

Tagging @Hummel-o-War is case he has some secret fix.:)

    Modified TemperateStarter.
Basically I took your Jungle Starter both static and dynamic. Removed all your Eden builds on it and added a few abandoned poi's and damaged cv's.

Really liked the look of the planet when I was watching Spanj run around on it. So really it's just a modified TemperateStarter

Change the PlanetClass in the playfield_static.yaml to something else and try again.

humm I don't seem to have that variable. Anything even close is
    PlanetType: Jungle Starter
    PlayfieldType: Planet
    Difficulty: 20
    I never changed those lines

The folder this is in is TemperateStarter
I didn't change it to TemperateJungle because I wasn't sure how to add another starter to the thing.

Yes yes sorry it's the PlanetType.

I don't know why it's not working for you.

Took some work and a fair bit of reading. I waited until v1.0 dropped and then started reading the PDA and the Dialogues
    So for future reference.
In the PDA.yaml towards the bottom you will find a section called ChapterTitle: pda_qaae0 section.

    Code:
      - ChapterTitle: pda_qaae0
        Category: Tutorial
        NoSkip: true
        PlayerLevel: 1
        Activatable: Always
        Visibility: Never
        AutoActivateOnGameStart: true
        Tasks:
          - TaskTitle: pda_G8O4a
            Actions:
              - ActionTitle: pda_mqi8O
                Description: pda_q0WAS
                AllowManualCompletion: true
                Check: WaitAction
                Amount: 2
        StartMessage: dlg;RP_Tut_1_Intro;RP_Tut_1_EmergencyPod;1|
        CompletedMessage: ''
        ActivateChapterOnCompletion: pda_OuuSW

So to stop the IDA response at the start of the game just change the true to false in
    AutoActivateOnGameStart: true

Tested in the vanilla game. I haven't even started adding my own stuff. So doing a little happy dance. :D

    I just saw that too!
    You could also add the:
    Code:
        VisibleOnStartPlayfieldTypes:
          - TemperateStarter
          - AridStarter
          - SnowStarter
To that chapter and that should work as well. I don't know why they set up the missions like this. I mean if anything, the tutorial shouldn't be available except on the starter planets, yet they list almost every mission as requiring you to start on them to obtain them.

Yeah without the starter planets most those missions can't even be used. I know for my own they can't be used there is nothing of them in mine. You know how you put the jungle starter together. There really isn't anything there but critters and FOOD and lots of it. I had to add the wrecks and abandoned poi's just to get a bigger ship to get off, without having to leave the planet.
Where you had all those temples and spanj's old ship.

Well at least now we know how it all works better.

I just discovered I like admin cores

I'm making a few of these with the load out each being different.:D

And it has to have a disclaimer:eek:
    NewGame_5_2020-08-06_14-26-39.png
That's not even counting them loosing my ships. Who knows what I will get.

Were really sorry but there seems to have been a mixup. Your not at Ellyon system. Were also not sure where all your belongings are.
We have substituted where we could. Oh yes your on an uninhabited world full of thick jungle and teeming with life.

I just knew I shouldn't have used the Traders Automated Cheep Transports!

Yeah, I'm making a large platform for ship building, and has a repair bay as well. Setting one up on each of the starters near where the beginning quests are.

Nice! Is this in a server or for private solo play?

I'm not even starting in the starting area. This thing is only allowed to spawn on sand. I don't land in an escape pod. I form right in front of the teleport. I just have some basic stuff on me. The rest of my gear is in the boxes and no telling what I will get in there I hope to have at least 20 different setup not ever knowing what will be there when I start a new game. The ship's, I might get an SV, HV or a CV. I might get all three or none. Fully decked out inside or with just the basic's. Some might need fixing. It's the bigger ships that I will need to take on some of the bigger enemy's those I have to work to make in the work shop.

So I just never know I might have a very hard start with hardly anything or I might start with good ships and gear or anywhere in between.

That's why I have been trying out so many different ships of late.

Anyway's that my story and I'm sticking to it.:)

Yeah, sometimes people have issues spawning in their BP's. Or they just want a flat surface to work on. Saves them wasting a bunch of materials making a big pad at their base when they're just going to lose it dismantling later, or when we wipe the starter system. Currently the pad has enough room for several large CV's, the T2 repair bay, and a teleporter. Working on building it up still with workstations and such. Once I figured out how to set the admin core and make things publicly accessible, I started going to town. Got side-tracked by putting a bunch of structures around for players to explore too. (Have one planet with the Battlestar Galactica and other appropriate ships, one has a bunch of Star Trek stuff, still working on one with Star Wars, and the other I am undecided but will probably be Gundam/Battletech.
Would be neat if I could get the turrets to actually work to attack the random Zirax drones, but that hasn't worked yet.
