    Greetings again :D

    // Mode: All Modes
    // Mode: SP & Dedicated Server

    // SEED-ID: see savegame atteched

    // MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: No

    // Reproducibility: seems like always
    // Severity: Minor, if you use waypoints that is

    Type: Compass Orientation

    Summary: HV Compass is wrong in Cockpit

    Description:

    // Found an error which occured in multiplayer and which I could reproduce in SP as well. The Orientation of the Compass inside the HV Cockpit is wrong. And as it seems flipped 180°

    edit: might have been an error on my part, when creating my ships.

    Here are the screenshots:

    Here is the Savegame:

    "Google Drive screams: CLICK ME !!!"

    // Steps to Reproduce: as I can see it, build any HV, strap a cockpit on it, hop in and enjoy the compass.

    Greetings
    Uncle Age

    PS: it would be great, if we could attach *.RAR or *.ZIP to Forum posts :D

    the compass is oriented based on the initial direction of the core. That is why there is an arrow on the starter block. I am guessing that is a ship you built yourself and you did not place the cockpit facing the direction of the arrow on the starter block. If it is a workshop build I would guess that is what the builder did as well. I first noticed this in a ship with 2 cockpits the second rearward facing. There are directions for reversing the core on youtube somewhere.

    it's mine, and no xD I did not change the cores orientation :D meaning, the cores orientation is correct.

    Edit: you might be right...

    Still, initial Core orientation should not have any influence on Compass Orientation inside a Cockpit, which is put into any direction on an HV. imagine a HV with multiple Cockpits, due to construction needs, whatever ... weird and incorrect Compass is still weird and incorrect.

    thus, it might be working as intended, but it is still a bug :D

  6. If it's working as intended then by very definition it's not a bug. lol
    It is working as intended by the way. Original starter block direction determines the direction of the compass. That is why they gave the starter blocks direction indicators.

    The above statement is both correct and wrong :D

    thing is, if you have 4 Cockpits, each facing into a different direction, they should still have the correct Compass orientation.

    Thus, it is both working as intended as well as a bug xD

    By definition, it's a Paradoxon!
