Build: 1.3.1 3197 Mode: Creative, Survival Mode: Singleplayer SEED-ID: 45324, 0 (Creative) Reproducibility: Always Severity: Minor-moderate Type: Vessel Summary: HVs Ignore 3 m/s Maximum Speed in Y-axis in Space Description: The 3m/s speed cap for HVs in space seems to be entirely disable along the Y axis. The speeds reached moving up or down in space in an HV quickly become unmanageable, even when pitching as little as 15 degrees. Steps to Reproduce: In creative, spawn an HV in space. In survival, dock an HV to a CV on a planet, fly it to space, and undock the HV. Move the HV up or down in the space playfield. Occurs both when ascending/descending while level and when pitching up or down and moving forwards or backwards. An HV over Akua moving over 200m/s from a standing start;
Found a seemingly consistent work-around. I had an HV parked in the hangar of a gravitized CV in a space playfield. Undocking caused the HV to fly up and become pinned to the ceiling. I deactivated the HV's hover engines and thrusters from a control panel shortcut. I then deactivated the CV's gravity generator through a similar shortcut in the registry. When I reactivated the HV's hover engines and thrusters, it moved normally without any problems. I tried this procedure several times, and it seemed to worked each time.
