    Hi folks,

I had an idea: since on planets where the atmosphere is breathable, the oxygen of the base and of the ship is useless, why not have a kind of temporal meteorological phenomenon that makes the atmosphere of a certain area unbreathable?

    For example:

-Acid rain containing carbon due to the type of emissions from the planet, which transforms external O2 into Co2. It could also damage vessels and bases exposed to it.
-Radiations that penetrate a little the base because it's not made of a very good material

This is just an idea, just to make the weather system a little more dangerous. Let me know what you think.

I thought radiated fog and hail were fairly dangerous, but a toxic fog, perhaps emanating from a volcanic fissure or, as you say, acid rain could be interesting.

Hail used to beat the hell out of even medium armor and for a time would penetrate windows. I bellieve they fixed that.

It would add a lot to immersion and to base defense
