Please note: Spawning any of the creatures below in a POI will automatically set the "faction" for any creature to the "POI owner" IF the NPC Spawnplate settings are kept on default. Example: Spawn an Alien Assassin in a Zirax base without setting the faction in the NPC Spawner to ALIEN will make the Alien Assassin a Zirax-faction member. Predators = initiative attack. Alien01 will not do that directly if you’d or not bother them. It is an edge case.
The issue I am having is we set our starting parameters to hard (our choice I know), and at that setting being anywhere near an Alien01 apparently constitutes bothering it. They have a spawn very near our base and as soon as they spawn in they start attacking. To survive this we have lots of sentry guns set to prey. This has the unfortunate consequence of shooting other pray and distracting the sentry guns from predators and the other things we would like to shoot. Being instakilled by Alien01 for the act of walking out your door is not fun or challenging, it is tedious and annoying. I will not consider using the hard setting for enemy difficulty until Alien01 is changed, just not fun.
