    As the title says.
Been wasting hours trying out a few dozen servers, none of them has the balls to enable the new volume mechanics WTFFF???

Many don’t seem to like those mechanics, myself included. I’ve not read all the posts or notes recently but it was disabled before by default and I’m not sure if it’s even fully implemented at this point. You could run your own server as an option in the meantime or I’m sure someone has it enabled somewhere. I’m going to test as soon as I apply the recent update though that might be short lived as I was not impressed with the unstable version previously. Still needed significant work and I’m still not sure how I feel about it.

We have attempted twice on Transcendence to keep the mechanic enabled, but both attempts lasted less than 24hrs before a heap of bugs surfaced. It’s a great mechanic and we are setup for the day it becomes more stable and refined to permantly enable it. Crossing fingers for 9.2

Have been waiting to enable it on Space Life Online. I'm interested. However the resistance from the server population is also sometimes a factor.

Eleon has been tuning the volume system lately and it is perhaps time to try it.

I'm looking server with volume/waight enabled too.
I've tried to play on the Craftoholics but have some troubles. I've gone more than 1000 meters until I've found the first copper rock. And suddenly I've been disconnected.

I think it's will be very good feature if developers add extended search to the server list page.

New content for 9.3.1 has just been made for server Alikyn's Gaming and we are getting it running and stable tonight so you should check it out if you catch it in your game browser!

Volume Enabled, Hardcore PVE with PVP, 7 starter worlds of all types (Barren, Desert, Arid, Alien, Lava, Temperate, Snow), 15 planets in total with 3 more as asteroid belts and 3 more as stations. More to come!

Too many PvP :( Also, on the planet chosing screen the snow planet marked as PvE, but when I started to play on it on the map I saw PvP mode.

Towards Alpha 10 I might able mass/volume on Space Life Online, we're waiting until it's a little bit more calibrated. If you like PvE and can live without volume for the time being the server can be an alternative.

Well, there is nobody on there and I don't know why you won't play PVP. It is no different than PVE and there not being players there is nobody to attack you. You can get a foothold and get strong. PVE is boring, honestly.

Anyway, Alikyn needs that feedback and we can make any changes necessary, it's not a big deal -- we are also in the process of "calibrating" our server. I made all of the content and it is all for 9.3.1. You will get the best support and experience at our server because we will cater to your desires.

The Snow planet is PVE but there is a server setting that Forces PVP that needs to be disabled. We can do that, it isn't a big deal so don't rule out a server due to simple issues -- simply give us that feedback so we can make the designated changes and improvements. Thank you! I will change that 'Forced PVP' setting to false next time I get access to the server.

You can start playing now that nobody is on there and you can get started and then we can make the changes and it will be PVE again, so go ahead and start playing! I will be playing too, but I will be checking all of the other non-starter planets for any issues they may have. I need feedback for this system I made so please by all means feel free to play and invite others.

Just so you know, I've updated the server and Zolaes along with any other PVE planet is back to being PVE.
I also fixed the sector file, it had some mistakes. I will be doing a little bit more testing of all the planets just to verify their consistency / viability and correct some descriptions for difficulty and the server will be good to go. It is currently up with the aforementioned changes, so feel free to check it out.

Once upon a time on the civfanatics forum someone created a topic with a pool on the level of difficulty of the game, which is most often used by players. And it turned out that most often difficulty is the easy difficulty. Almost 100% players chose it. It was unexpectedly because even oldfags which know the game completely, which know any game secret and have played hundreds (may be thousands) of civilisations chose easy difficulty.
On the discussion all people said that they are playing in computer games to rest from life. They said that in the life they have too many chalanges and they want to forget about it and be calm and play the game where everything goes as planned.

I want to say If the game too hard and if you want to build something or simply dig/fly/run/see but something kill you/breake your house/lock in a cube it becomes uninteresting and boring.
I think Empyrion is the one of the best game where you can make your fantasy come true. You can build a cool house, or mighty panzer, quick aircraft, or big barge. And you have anough chalenges while you get resources or artifacts. You are killing ziraxes, traveling many kilometers, jumping to the next planet.

I have a decent success offering starter planets with varying levels of difficulty, there's a quite even pool of players on each playfield from very easy to very hard. Point is, people seem to not have any particular interest in just easy. But if people seek a safe haven on the server that exists too.

Good for those people, they can go play on carebear server where its super easy and you can get to lvl 25 in 5 minutes. They don't need to come to our server and try to make us cater to their weakness. I LOVE difficult planets and actually surviving -- to me, that is the game. If someone wants to take it easy and build something, they have single player, creative mode, co-op -- servers are ran by server operators who want to portray the game in a specific light, or to setup a specific scenario, or to host content that they enjoy for others who may also enjoy it. We aren't obligated to cater to the lowest common denominator, which apparently is the majority wanting easy mode, good for them -- servers can't handle a million players anyway so what the majority wants/does is IRRELEVANT! All about that Niche.

I prefer personally not too dull environments to play in, alike Omicron is sufficient enough for me. We have one planet harder than my preference and one ultra hard is coming, so I think it's enough.

One server can hold places for all types of players. The PlayfieldLevel modifier made it even easier to accomplish it.

As for attitude we try to be friendly over at Space Life Online and have nothing against noobs playing and asking us about things which are obvious to us.

Yet at the same time a lot of people have issues with our hardest starter planet. It offers a sufficient challenge for most.

Yep, this looks like a good idea. 9.4 release will probably require another content change (not sure yet) and maybe you could play after that for a little while but then 10 will drop and will require yet another reset. So, for those who don't mind, waiting is probably an ideal option. But then the cycle continues! Eventually you just have to play and deal with whatever happens when it happens. You're welcome to stop by Rob, we've finally got the content pretty stable.
