not sure if you are allowed to request money (not donations) for pure Playing (not for Server renting), even when/if, I wouldn't pay. Reasons: For a smaller fee I can set up my very own server hosted f.e. by Nitrado (4€/Month), I can make/take my own scenario, my own starter packs, play there with my friends, can make anything you describe... for less and I'm in full control myself. So the only yes the only thing your server could provide - but does not yet, as you are just starting when I got you right - is an already existing big community there which I would never could get myself and would make for the great experience/immersion/roleplay/etc... So you should first and foremost try to establish this before trying to get money from players.
