That's 87 cents PER PLAYER SLOT. So for a 20-player server, that's 87 cents times 20. ($17.40) Plus some other fees based on location, etc. They were pretty good when I used them tho... certainly quick to respond to issues! (Source: I rented an Empyrion server from them for about two months at the end of last year)

I admin for a server that uses Citadel, they refuse to do anything to help increase security and there is no way to use most of the features in all the publicly available admin tools due to Citadel refusing ftp access to admin tools.

I have FTP access, but all the Empyrion admin programs receive messages saying "blocked by server". I've asked to have the firewall changed for port 3004 to only accept connections from our admin team, Refused. I've asked to have 3004 port forwarded thru an SSL port to secure data sent and received, Refused. I've asked to have any Empyrion admin software run On the server so we don't need access thru the firewall, Refused.
