In my case, the CS needed 23 iron ingots. After performing a manual repair, the materials were consumed, but the repair did not occur. Setting the repair mode to automatic results in the Iron ingots being depleted by 1 every couple seconds, but no repairing ever occurs. This will eventually deplete all iron ingots (Thousands) without repairing the CS.
