Hey I have FPT access on my Server and did look around with no success. Is there a version file with version number in the EAH directory ? Edit: Silly me I just found the version number in the log file
No worries, you should also see it in the Config on the bottom. But I have not made a Lite update yet to fix warp
Update Hey guys, quick update with a few new functions and also additional information. Please be aware: - EAH - Lite was NOT updated and warping is still a problem causing corrupt player. - EAH - Full: Warp into other solar systems can/will cause problems. Devs are on it to fix it soon. Enjoy Patch notes - 1.49.3.0 (Alpha 12) Remember to stop the server, start the tool and then start the server to apply the Update. If you start a new game also make sure to restart the tool after you started the game the first time. Please turn off Autban before you update the tool or start the server. Then check for a few hours if the Cheater Check marks people yellow (Extreme = They would get banned) without reason. If so, please let us know and do not turn on AutoBan. If everything is ok, you can turn on AutoBan. In case you are using a slave tool: Be aware that using this version only works if you update master and slave! This Version will be available over steam and via manual download. Please switch the Version in the Config to Alpha 12. Please deactivate "Detailed logs" and "Connection logs" in the Config\Debug section. These are only needed in case you have problems and need to send logs to us. Otherwise they will slow down EAH! Is it possible to change the message fade out? Currently all the message disappear after 2-3 seconds, and you can barely read them even when you notice them. I would much prefer that I could extend this to 5-10 seconds. I fear it may not be possible though, as I see the same issue with default in-game messages.
Hey, which ones do you mean? - On the left bottom in chat? (Not possible at the moment) - On the top right where you also get drone attack warnings? This I could make optional how long they show.
Yes, the one on the top right. The bottom left seems to be iffy. Sometimes it's there long enough, and sometimes it's gone in a blink. The one in the space for the drone attack warnings is the one I'm talking about though. (If I could adjust the drone attack warnings as well, that would be sweet.)
Would like to get this set up for my server, I tried but does not seem to work. I have green in the middle of my button to connect to server but the back ground is red. In the warning area it says Client could not log in. I am trying to run it with a rented server from end of reality game servers.
Ok will put that in. Hey, do you have access to windows on your server, or is the server provider hosting the game? Is EAH running on hte server?
I guess they do, I rent it from them. Not sure how I get it to run on the server itself. The only thing they have in the admin panel that could be anything like this is called web console and it does not seem to work.
Hey, then you can't use EAH Full, only EAH lite. You need to get the infos how to connect from your hoster
Also, where do I find the differences between EAH lite and full? EDIT: I really appreciate any help, thanks guys.
Hey, at the moment you can not warp with the lite. It will corrupt players. They cant login, getting an exception about a yaml file. This is due to the new solar systems. To fix that we have to find a way around. A "good" way might take a while and needs support from the devs. A "dirty" way will be done soon. Lite is only if you can't run EAH on the server. It has very limited functions and no Playfield/Structure information and functions Full has the full power of EAH Hey, yes telnet and ftp information. both connections need to work to be able to use lite.
Ok I have the FTP info but not the telnet, I will see if I can get that info from them. Another question though, if I set this up and actavate it is it going to over wright my current game?
Ok one more question for now this part of the set up C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Dedicated Server\ I am not understanding to directions for this step. Is there a set up guide for using the light one all I can find really is for a ded server not a rented server, if it is in there I am not seeing it anyway. Would like to get this set up as it looks like it has a lot of options I can use. Do I use the path for the server when I log into FTP to it, as in /173.234.27.34_30000
Hey, yes sadly there is not much docu about that part. Only the config is described. You are right about the path. You enter it there. You just have to see where you enter the fto. often you just need a "/" since you login to the Empyrion Dedicated Server" folder already.
