    Well, i'm not gone. I'm still following 8.0's development closely. :)

    Just saying that i'm waiting for Alpha 8.0's internal editor to see, what's going to be implemented.
    If there still is a need for EPD, I'll glady take on development again. But at the moment, without an actual roadmap or feature list of the game's new internal editor, it wouldn't make much sense to further develop.

    But it's a fair bet that a lot of code has to be rewritten to make EPD work with Alpha 8.0.

    Sector editor is not done yet and current implementation wouldn't work with 8.0 anyway, so again, I'll have to wait at least, what 8.0 brings. :)

    So stay tuned. If there's any news, i'll keep you updated here.

    Definitely keep up the good work. The SSG is decent but your program can still do more. A combination of using the SSG to generate a system and then using your program to edit it is the perfect combo to me :)

    Let me see if i get this correctly. We can use SSG fro more solar systems and then use EPD to modify the playfields? I mean instead of the Notepad++?

    Yes This tool will be probably the best program for editing playfields.

    You can generate playfields and sectors (the solar system) with the SSG, then you can export the old fashioned playfield.yamls.

    After you can edit that playfield.yaml in EPD to your liking and save it into your scenario.

    You will also be capable of exporting the playfield_static.yaml, which you can import back into the SSG to see the results of your POI placement on the map for a given seed. Although not sure, if this will be finished already in the first release version.

    I totally agree. I was working on some single player and multiplayer scenario missions but once Alpha 8 was announced I put it on pause. Guess I'll be hitting the code again soon :)

    I don't know if all know but I find to save to raw I Photoshop. Select your height map you make in greyscale (png by example), select Picture/Mode and check 16 bit / channel.
    After, rotate your map in Picture/Rotate of the picture to 180 degrees and horizontal symetry.
    Resize to 8192*4096 (I don't know if we can use other size but I found this size in the forum).
    Next, you can save RAW, is the type 'Photoshop Brut'.
    Here a example with the Earth height map (I resize for the forum to 1024*512).
    Earth original :
    Earth - Original.png
    Earth after edition :
    Earth.png
    So now, just how to use this because I use the SSG for ajust biome and check if I save the heightmap correctly but when I export, is regenerate the map when I load in game so maybe your planned this functionnality ?

    Just minor aesthetic request: Would it be possible when you go to select creature spawns in EPD could you divide creatures into 2 groups, hostile and passive?
