Even a slight ripple can change the world ... but if you're not #DrWho and are playing #Empyrion Galactic Survival in update 1.7, it may be a result of the optics and effects upgrade for water!

    As we talk about Water:
will the water extraktor also be upgraded?
-limit max numer of humm sounds playing silmutam
-fix it always saying 80% source OR saying no source for no real reason
-fix it not being placeable while around it we can be placed

Or maybe even add a base block water extractor.

the no source available in water usually happens because the terrain is leveled when placing a device. placing another device directly next to it will level the ground even more causing other collectors to show they are no longer in water

I too would love to see base devices that collect water and hydrogen bottles

Ripples look great, but the change is just superficial if there are no accompanying physics. If I dig under water, will water fill the new area after this change?

The water graphics are decent as they are now, no need for an improvement here.

On the other side the mechanics, not only for water generators but also for digging and building underwater could need some help.
If you need to improve graphics, removing the reflections of the sun while there are walls in the path would be a good place to start.

If I dig a hole on the shoreline, will water finally be able to flow in?

Awesome, now can you give us "crouch" and make it so I am not running when I ride the motor cycle?

For 20$ people are reacting like they litterally own the place. And not an ounce of humility. So enlightening.

I'm sorry but I don't think this comment is entirely fair.

I totally appreciate that $20.00 for Empyrion is a good deal. Personally, I purchased five copies. One for myself and the other four copies were gifted to friends.

That aside, development of Empyrion has been slow and whilst the game has come a long way from when I first discovered it in 2016, there are a lot of outstanding mechanical issues still with the game engine. As a long term player and browser of these forums, I see the same bugs and issue be brought up again and again, some of which have been on the radar for a number of years.
It's frustrating to see developer time being used on superficial changes rather than fine-tuning the core game.

I love Empyrion and want to see it become the best game in it's genre hence the constructive criticism.

If it's a matter of funding to speed along development, I would be extremely happy to contribute in a P2P funding round if the offer was presented.

But what precisely do you know about what each person at Eleon is doing to say that all they did was some ripples on water ?

Should the modeler start coding in C# so he can now work on "non superficial changes" ?

Look at the 2016 and 2018 surveys results : you will see the ratio of done/ to be done. Tell me they have been focusing on "superficial changes".

If you feel "frustrated" yet you say that you're satisfied for the 20$ you spent, then what is the problem ? You want to run the place? That's exactly what I wrote.

I'm sorry but I don't understand the hostile reaction. The spirit in which my post was written was completely positive hence my comment:

"I love Empyrion and want to see it become the best game in it's genre hence the constructive criticism."

I won't reply further on this topic as I feel that this thread has been derailed enough.

Eleon : " Hey guys! Look at the cool effects we added to water! "

Player giving constructive criticism : "You cool effect is superficial, I will consider it when you add fluid dynamics. It makes me frustrated that you didn't fix something else, and chose to waste your time on this"...

average gamer: "i really prefer stability over adding new visual enhancements."

    eleon: *silence*

average gamer: gets frustrated seeing constant updates that do more harm than good and vents frustrations.

eleon fanboy: "i want to feel important to the developers so i will publicly shame anyone who doesn't 100% love every new addition."

Frankly, I would have liked more fixing old bugs like spontaneously throwing the ship out of the ground than introducing beautiful shader water into the game. On the other hand, I do not want to put pressure on the developers and demand that they introduce / change something specific according to the list - "do this and this and this and this." As a developer, I would have a headache from such numerous demands and claims and would like to do another project :) Of course, the tone of the discussion also plays a role - when people start swearing at each other and take a pose, then a constructive conversation does not work. Therefore, let there be shader water and I am waiting with interest and calmness for the next news from Eleon :)

    No problem with that.

Here is a problem : you and the eternal complainers are far from representing the "average gamer". Deal with your frustrations in an adult manner if you want to join "the average gamer" crowd. Now you're just "the usual crybaby".

Pull your head out of your a** and read the forums. I hated CPU, I hated even the first introductions of environmental hazards, I think mass/ volume/ energy balance is far off and decry it on a regular basis. I have tons of gripes about the state of the game.

The difference between you and me is that you don't care if no one from Eleon is listening to you, and you keep yelling in the desert expecting changes. I know you saw many players acting way more hysterical than you around here and get no results, so I wonder why you don't learn from it.
