    XPA Press Release

Firstly, ill start off by saying that due to the frequency of battles we engage in only significant battles will be posted here as battle reports from now on, posting an AAR and attrition report for every single battle is becoming far too time consuming.

XPA deploys to Halforums following decrease in PvP activity on Inflicted

Due to a rapid decrease in PvP activity on the Inflicted.org server, XPA has mothballed all PvP assets on Inflicted and will be focusing on maintaining our dominant position on Halforums, we have already been having multiple engagements with other PvPers on said server and we dont see that dying down anytime soon.

    XPA Press Release

XPA places VAC base to siege, XPA triumphs despite being outnumbered.

XPA force recon detected activity on the planet of "Shrek" on the Halforums server, a sizeable installation belonging to VAC consisting of defence platforms and a medium sized base.

4 XPA members would make up the assault, a Vacuum-type carrier equipped with a ground assault package descended on the base and would soak up fire while several Molly-type MBTs would engage the base defences.

Initially, the assault was met without resistance however the swampy terrain had caused some issues with MBT movement, several VAC members logged on however the VAC response time totalled to just under 1 hour, which by the time they responded the base and its defences were defeated.

Two VAC SVs attempted to engage the ground assault force however were unsuccessful, a Knowu-type FAC was dispatched to take on the two VAC fighters, both fighters were shot out of the sky.

XPA suffered a counter-charge from 5 VAC members in a force consisting of both HVs and SVs, VAC also deployed several BA towers to act as fire support. Despite the odds, XPA was able to single out and destroy at least 3 VAC HVs and at least 4 VAC SVs while only loosing a single Molly-type MBT to enemy action.

As the battle approached 2 hours long, with XPA achieving both an objective an attrition victory, our forces withdrew. Leaving a large mess for VAC to clean up.

VAC members claimed that the base attacked was "abandoned" and thus held no strategics value, this was dismissed as damage control.

    Attrition Report

    Friendly forces present

4x Molly-type MBTs - All took moderate damage, one lost to enemy action
    2x Knowu-type FACs - Moderate damage
    1x Vacuum-type Carrier - Light damage

    Hostile forces present

At least 5 VAC HVs - 3 destroyed, believed recovered, All took heavy damage
At least 4 VAC Fighters - 3 destroyed, believed recovered. All took moderator damage
    1x VAC Base - Destroyed
4x VAC Defence Towers - Destroyed

Addressing the elephant in the room

XPA has been unjustly banned from both Halforums and Shattered Realms servers after the admins of said servers (GasBandit and Spanj) decided they would apply "guilty by association" blanket bans for the actions some members.

GasBandit had been previously identified to us as potentially abusive admin after he admitted to abusing admin tools to study the internal layouts of our vessels. After one our members alleged violated speech rules on the servers discord and was banned, GasBandit decided to (exact quote) "pull the plug on XPA"

Spanj had previously held a grudge against Veilith (one of our own members) due to an incident in a staged arena battle event hosted by Spanj where Veilith pointed out rules were being incosistantly applied to benefit Spanj's friends and was ejected from the tournament as a result. The first day we joined Shattered Realms (a server ran by Spanj) we had caught several admins spying on us while in gm mode and then proceded to ban us overnight, he admitted this was a guilty by association ban when he stated that he "did not have an issue with you or Veilith"

We haven't lost much from these bans however it was necessary to post this before Halforums or Shattered Realms fanboys spin up a slanderous narrative and started posting it here.

XPA fleet modernisation, outdated vessels retired from service

As the Empyrion PvP meta continues to evolve, XPA builders have been working tirelessly to keep ahead of the curve with constant innovation. Some of our older hulls have been pushed to their limit and were deemed no longer worthy of upgrading as opposed to constructing new designs.

As a result, the Breeze-type Frigate has been retired and its role will be replaced by the Westerly. The Tradewind-type Corvette has been retired and its role will be replaced by the Alisio and the Broca Beach-type Fighter has been retired and no replacement for its role is currently planned.

The main page has been updated to include the new changes

Due to the release of Alpha 9.0 in the buggy unfinished state it was in, XPA will be placing hold on all operations until such time as the shit the devs broke is fixed.

XPA engages Venatus Locals and achieve attrition victory

XPA forces engaged local Venatus forces in multiple encounters, initial battles were fought by XPA in Aliso-type and LiCorp vessels engaged vessels from Venatus local factions such as COR. The ships XPA was faced against were significantly larger and in multiple occasions locals would "batphone" several others when they faced loosing in an attempt to turn the tide with numbers.

Despite locals having a numbers and ship size advantage, XPA forces achieve attrition victories in each encounter. Venatus locals, desperate to claim victory clung to excuses and made damage control attempts which were dismissed as just that, excuses and damage control.

Attrition reports are not available due as the reports were unable to be verified within acceptable accuracy however Venatus locals admitted that their repairs timers for their ships were in the range of several hours after encounters which should paint a clear enough picture.

    XPA Press Release

Announcement regarding XPA deployment on Venatus

On the 9th of January 2019, XPA leadership made the executive decision to official undeploy from the Venatus server for the following reasons:

Rampart administrative bias - XPA has observed inconsistent enforcement of rules (particularly language rules) to benefit specific groups on the server, additionally we have been made aware that private blueprints have been stolen and gifted to certain Venatus players as well as admins spawning resources in creative mode menu to give to certain Venatus players who we had been fighting.

We believe that admin bias was in part due to HWS Server Owner RexXxuS contacting Venatus admin KDM via discord and spreading a slanderous narrative about us to KDM and encouraging him to act in a biased manner

9.0 Release - The release of alpha 9.0 broke a lot of base game mechanics, XPA decided not to play Empyrion at all until the devs fixed the mechanics they broke.

Christmas Holidays and New Years - The Christmas and New Year season has meant that in early 2019 and late 2018, our faction was extremely busy and did not have time to maintain infrastructure on servers we were deployed on.

This post is primarily intended to address the players of the Venatus server who have been contacting us and requesting we "come back" to Venatus however is also intended to serve as statement that XPA as a faction does not play on the Venatus server any more for the reasons above.

the most fun I ever had in this game was a fight between my faction and another one which I logged into while they attacking our base and we spawning blueprints for hours. by the end, debris was across for miles, with wrecks and scattered ammo and resources, it was awesome. since then ive been hooked on a pvp binge with this game but can't find any pvp servers, that foster the environment needed for pvp.

i.e. scarce resources. if theres infininte resources and autominers, and everyone can get anything anywhere, theres no reason to fight.

Anyway, if you have a server which has even a decent random amount of pvp, i'll join and fight for ya. For anyone able to offer good fights :)
