I have setup a server, I would like to make it attractive for users to play. My question is, do users feel EAC is good or bad?
its incredibly irritating how many times i have to try to launch the game sometimes because the EAC crap crashes when trying to start up the game. I have no idea how it affects a server to be honest.
On public server EAC. Many past MP games have shown clearly that if you allow cheating, you will get cheating.
Pretty much this. If you trust your players then don't bother with EAC, however, if you have players that you do not personally know than use EAC.
Exactly this. Ours is passworded and we host for a more mature, laid back crowd, so we certainly don't need it.
The funny thing is that I play on Sphynx's server, and EAC is on. It only ever booted me one time. I have no idea why it did. I was able to get right back. Other than that it seems to leave me alone.
