    I'm at amazed by some of the SVs in this game that are the size of small Capital ships. This Eve ship is an SV .

    Looks like a Kestrel (the t1 version of Manticore). In the Manticore, the central hulls are different in number and positioning.

    How is she holding up against that much fire? Do you have enough planetside firepower to take those turrets out?

    Actually it does not hold well. This raid was a test. Does anyone have any ideas how to take out the Fortress PIO, and somehow not take me ages to do so?

    Hi Folks,

    After a long Break I decided to visit empyrion again.
    Now what happened? I can't spawn my anaconda in my singleplayer because it says it hast to many units on it?
    What does that mean? What parts are meant? In Creative i could spawn it no problem so at least I can work at it.

    They put limits on how many of each turret can be equipped. It's probably that. You can mouse over the turrets in the menu and it should have a field for max number allowed or something like that.

    Only some of the more defense CV weapons work on planets so you are outgunned easily with a CV. Build an SV or HV and arm it with missile, plasma or other high impact weapons to take out an POI. SV can mostly dodge incoming shots, HV is bound to take more hits but turrets are nice.

    Now If you want to test your CV, go to space and look for a (non-admin) space station or freighter - thats a lot of fun.

    I have run into several situations now where I needed a super cheap CV. So I drafted this little dude that uses metal railing instead of regular blocks. The whole point is cheap and simple and not have it just be a lump of components(which, granted, it kinda is anyways.) It has proven to be hilariously compatible with upgrading/adding more stuff. Now I am going to try a hovercraft.

    Today I've been doing some work on my Trader's Residence base (EU official server). Far from being finished - was going to go for a Mass Effect vibe but ended up with some sort of Starship Troopers fort. Also did some interior renovation on my mobile base CV (the Hermes) and built a couple of new SV designs in creative. They looked much better on my sketchbook, but still! Meanwhile, my week-long Danube class from DS9 replica is still underway and FAR from being complete.     Depends on which fortress you mean. Are you referring to the P1? Or one of the other fortresses on Akua or Ningues? Either way, speed and agility are more useful than protection against a large number of turrets.

    Remember to move in small bursts, cone strafing around the target, or in a zigzag. Frankly, as long as you have the speed you should be fine, JUST KEEP MOVING!

    Alternatively, get really really close. Make a beeline for one of their outer walls. Depending on your size, the turrets won't be able to hit you and you can pick them off one by one. You'll want a few turrets of your own to deal with drones and transports while you breach.

    I refer to one located on a new planet on the 50 planet playfield I downloaded from a guy that published the file ehre in the forums. I end up using an SV with an artillery cannon

    Haha, yeah I tried that once except I was on foot. :) I thought to myself, "You know, if running at drones is a good straetgy, I wonder if it works on turrets?" Do not get me wrong, my better instincts and intelligence were screaming at me, "NO, YOU ARE DUMB, DO NOT RUN AT TURRETS." Turns out, running at turrets on foot, even when trying to dodge, is a terrible idea. :)
