Heya, Steam now supports the Sketchfab website, which allows an upload of 3D models. This allows a rotatable 3D preview of our steam uploaded creations. Unfortunately Sketchfab doesn't recognize the .epb format. Only supports these: https://help.sketchfab.com/hc/en-us/articles/202508396-3D-File-Formats Any idea how to turn an epb file into one of the supported formats?
Until the devs give uns the chance to export our blueprints as 3D model, no chance. Or someone writes a converter App.
That may be a tall order. Bethesda's .nif asset files have been around for years and no one has ever written a converter that works seamlessly with more than one very specific version of .3ds. I'm wading through the Unity manual and it does import files in most formats (.obj, .3ds, .dae, etc.) although it seems that imported files are maintained in their original format while the game is in the project state. So far, I've found no mention of exporting .epb files in other formats. https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/3D-formats.html Disclaimer: I'm not much more familiar with game engines than most here, probably less. I would be happy to hear from anyone who actually understands the things because I sincerely hope that I'm wrong about this.
