Inspired by the USR Ships from Fractured Space I'm working on getting a fleet in that style to Empyrion. Mainly for Rp. I want to give you a look at the Main Ship "Colossus" and would appreciate your opinion.
Some interior shots of my super CV. I've got the important stuff covered, like the bar/club! The second pic is of something I thought any good military command vessel should have, the firing range!
Looks fantastic! I particularly love your interior decorating style. The storage room, warp core & fuel tanks look great and the pilot ready room with kills and status is a wonderful touch!
My Mobile Drydock and Shipyard. Still working on it, but happy so far. Can't wait for CV to CV docking. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1113778821
Hey guys! After half a year break i decided to finish and release my Vanguard Class Starship. It's my second Star Trek inspired Ship of my own design, i released for Empyrion. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1120495322 I literary worked on the design for months, changing stuff here and there, but till i'm not 100% happy about it (just 95% ) Its stats are: Unlike most other Star Trek ships i have made, interiors are not overly huge and most of the interior space is layers of armor. I'm not really happy about it, but it seems that this is the way ships are supposed to be in this game (without energy shields and stuff like that). I hope you like it!
Guys, I, as always with a new ship to visit the forum Meet Caligula! Light cruiser 5 dimensional class, with interesting innovations such as artificial intelligence. And he made a logo of his company (for the game of course) ) Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1122454103
Ready to smolder....? Introducing, Infinity. Friendly warning, it is very hard to leave the ship; the snazziness is dangerously compelling. STEAM LINK: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1122717782 Enjoy!
I'm trying to create a hidden hangar, with 1 block high enterance, but not so successfull. Another idea is docked SV looks like part of the CV. Docked SV-s closed cockpit would be in front of CV's automatic door. Have you got any good examples?
I LOVE the open interiors! But i also konw how hard it is to make it look really good, so your ship is double nice ! Cool work!
Introducing the NDC2-Corsair My take on a small-medium size CV, mainly for single player use. I toyed with the idea of a double-armored CV for a while, so here is the result I used hardened steel for the inner hull, and a small layer of combat steel as a visible white "ceramic" armor around it to give it extra protection, and - quite frankly - to make it look good The layout is meant to be simple. 3 floors + helm, all color coded and clearly marked. Also the exit points of the elevators are highlighted and contain the current floor number. Most of the power-hungry rooms can be switched off, together with half of the engines for power saving . Machine parts and most tanks are on the far extreme of the ship to make walking paths in the 'living space' as short as possible. A small O2 and fuel tank each are placed in the workshop for easier O2 / energy drop-off. Here is the room layout: Workshop link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1121182848 The workshop brochure: An armoured, versatile, heavily armed corvette for the pilot and up to 2 passengers. Your mobile base to explore, attack and defend, introducing the double-hull concept! Equipment includes - Landing pads for 3 CVs/HVs - Repair bay - 2 Constructors / 2 Food processors - 2 Drill turrets - A full 18-pod farm plot - Multiple turrets and weaponry* The design followed several guidelines: 1) The double-hull The inner hull is built out of hardened steel, and visibly plated with white plates of combat steel. The exception is the brige, which is combat steel to start with. 2) No-clutter exterior No pipes etc. on the outer hull. why exposing vital parts of the ship to the enemy? 3) Easy layout The ships interior is clearly layed out (see cross-section screenshot) and color coded by floor. Lift exits are marked in color and contain the floor number 4) Give directions Directions to all reachable parts of the ship are placed on each elevator entrance and strategic locations. That's it! What do you think? I toyed with the idea to built an entry level version of the ship by replacing the combat steel completely with hardened steel and exchanging the high level equipment with lower spec one - but considering the building cost of a ship like that, I was undecided on that. Feedback is always welcome
Very nice concept and execution! I really like the practicallity of it (i hope that's the right expression), everything is where it is supposed to be, very nice! Unlike some other ppl. you actually put in some thought to make it easy for other ppl. to navigate in the ship. Very appreciated! One question though, how did you make the cross section view? Did you actually remove half the ship just for that one shot? (If the answer is yes, then you have my serious admiration. ) I'll definitely try it out!
Release of the Quasar Class Exploration Cruiser http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1123872980 This is the latest in my "Omega Outpost" series of ships. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=866196306 It features a Bridge, Engineering, Sickbay, a Quarter, Passenger room (Cinema), 2 Gardens and a fairly big Hangar Bay (with cargo hold and constructor). As all of my ships it is made for Solo play alone (i have no idea how i will perform in other game modes), but it's quite expensive. The ship is protected by at least 2 layers of Combat steel armor, but i still hope they will introduce a decent shield system some day, which will make the ship even more sturdy. If i have forgotten something please let me know and as always, i'm craving for feedback and suggestions in general. Cheers!
Thanks Neal! Yea.... I kinda did. Wouldn't do it with a much bigger craft, but I really wanted to have that shot
Quick question on that - you don't have any cockpit windows in there, do you? you have to fly the ship with the 3rd person view, right? Is that common for CVs to do that? I honestly never thought of that possibility at all so far
For PVP: yes. For PVE: it's a matter of preference / theme you're going with. Personally I always want to have real cockpits/command bridges with outside look - for immersion purposes. But on the other hand, in Combat situations I always fly in 3rd person view, even Fighters, because of the way better FoV.
No there are no cockpit windows, for security reasons. Funny, i have never thought of flying a CV in first person. Maybe because they don't react and feel like a SV anyway. (been playing Starfleet Command and (much) later STO for years, it never occured to me to fly a big ship in First person. Do you think i should have added to possibility to fly it in First person?
not necessarily.... but... as you're asking... a few more thrusters and... RCS2(!!).. would not hinder either! ;-) I really like your/this design really, even thought I could take this in my actual Survival game as an upgrade to my existing Mobile Base... but this manoeverability... better said lack of... nonono.... ;-) (please don't take this personal) but I'm a speed junkie, yes I know... edit: Spoiler: like the new back of my to-be-made CV
No problem man. I actually NEED feedback! More maneuverability is not a problem, i almost doubled it already. Regarding First person piloting, i'm working on it right now. Although i'm not going to use it myself, i can see some players want to fly their ships in that way. THANKS for the feedback, very apprecitated!
Oomfg - that would drain all my energy in like 2 seconds O.O! Isn't that horribly... inconvenient with all the energy consumption? I even made half of my (very few) thrusters switchable so I save on energy. But again, I haven't played multiplayer since like 5.something
