yes... no space in a class 3 ship... but... ... where did @Neal say what? you're talking 'bout me in my back, huh?! okay, I get it. . . . joking aside, these cool features (I still adapted them a bit to fit into the places they are) it would be a shame to not include them, so you (@Kieve and @Pyston) can eh should be proud of your work to be seen in another ship. While I'm not in the slightest in the same league as you both, I'm trying my best to get the job done for what I want it. Still, I'm not really advertising and promoting me and my things much (besides this thread and sometimes in the building section a post), 'cause I still make them first and foremost for me personally. And for others that want to get some ideas for themselfs. And I'm on the crusade for performance. You both did see, you're getting better at that too after I started proclaming it, right?! Mission accomplished. edit, I've updated the toilet, as far as I could do in the spare space I have: I think one can get the feeling now, you could close the pulling door (?right word? drawing door?). Not optimal, but sufficient for my roleplaying immersion. edit2: oh, and this Ship would be in Reality just a One Person or a Couple Ship, with only the benefit to pick up some stranded... We still have all Dimensions totally WRONG in most of our Blueprints.
oh... seems I missed it... ... and I had even looked... uhm... okay..... need new glasses... more colorful.... going to check that... thanx...
Not necessary. What i meant was what i would do. I'd use one COlor (mostly white or light grey) and do only a few color (maybe a strong blue or red for example) stripes here and there. But that's just what came to my mind if it where my ship.
ah you mean all the black and white stripes between they gre main hull is too much? or do you mean my fist grey-in-grey Version? (that got changed already inclusive Front and Back parts)
Difficult without seeing it in 3d, but yes, maybe too much. How about painting the black stripes in mid grey so the variations are more subtle. Then i would add one continous stripe (myabe red, orange or blue, something strong) as contrast to underline the desired "flow" of the ship and maybe color one or two elements in that same color. Less is more imo. But that's just how "I" would do it. Could turn out nice, but also total nonsense, depenting on what you want to archieve.
Nah. That will make it too bright. And there's still the problems with the corner blocks which can't be colored right, that's makes it really difficult... see: need to try something different...
uhm?? momento... why's not EVERYWHERE the orange color wrong applied? (did I use other rotations here? must check...) edit: okay, you have to use the right rotations. changing rotations now... edit2: while the "Cut Corner" was easy to fix indeed, on the other hand the "Corner Long A" is not. How should I rotate that?? I don't see any solution. ... and the really bad thing is... it's only on ONE side as the other is correct colored! edit3: Only way is, to integrate into design, even if not optimal...
Today I learned how Aggressive raptors are formed..... They are still there..... staying in tonight...
Ok, i promised too much. This..... mostrosity is taking up too much time. Exterior is 98% finished so is interior for starters, lots of space left to squeeze in lots of cargo and devices to tweak performance. It drives like it looks: accelerates like a truck stuffed with trucks and turns like a real land cruiser, better call it oil tanker. So if you drive it you feel like you are moving thousands of tons. And it has it all what is needed to stay working for a long time. Five levels: - ground level: loading area, storage, armory, engine rooms, O2 storage and separate fuel storage - second level: bridge, turret control rooms, rear loadingbay- and mining turret control room, crew messhall with food storage and wastebins - third level: front engine room, front ammo storage, main working area, rear weapons control and ammo storage, crew- and commader quartes with bathrooms - fourth level: main storage rooms, rear top fuel rooms, access to top level - fifth level: landing area for small vessels, servers as docking Area for CV and maybe later SV ground to orbit transport All that is left to do is grouping things, rework lighting (i removed all interior lights currently) and set up some signal logic like automatic lights and machinery that isn't needed from time to time. Here some more pictures: And the interior:
And e few more just for the better picture. If anyone is interested i acn upload this W.I.P version to mess around with. But i guess it will take a while before i start working on it. I want to focus more on the "survivalish" builds.
Building a station inside of the shipyard I built. I still can't say enough about how awesome these new textures are.
These dinos are just begging to be shot right in the... Threw together a non-warp SV and guess what I found on the test flight?
Although she's by far not finished, i couldn't resist and took the new "Distant Horizon" (new version) to a trip to Omicrons Moon and back.
Yes i will finish it one day. :-D Right now, i don't know how many hours i have put into this.... and i am not sure i want to know. All that is missing a couple of lights and some signage, a few switches here and there and *shiver* the grouping. I actually thought to build a performance version too, you know some additional enginepods and extra RCS. But that will take me another hour or two. Maybe i borrow the screen design from @Kieve and @rucky . ;-) But i think it was worth it. it already is kind of cool to run around in this thing. And i think some people find it fun to find all the nooks and crannies i stuffed in there. But i guess as soon as i think it is finished, Eleon puts stuff in to make me rework my Atlas MKII (deco blocks and stuff) ;-) For right now i have a mid sized cost efficient Survival SV, a small starter CV with everything needed to get along and my HVs (Kodiak and Grizzly) which are both survival compatible. Well at least they make A LOT more sense than trying to build a Atlas MKII on any server or even SP.
