Thanks! I can't tell - I do combat in the cockpit only, feels more natural to me. But I can test.

I use 3rd person pretty much only when I need to do some precision steering, like parallel parking.

I'm still building my own boxes, thank goodness that the days of picking interrupts and 540k addressable limits are gone! It's easier to throw together a PC or server than it is to put together something from IKEA.

    @Hicks42 , sorry, didn't get the memo.

@binhthuy71 , you're right about that, and the comp will last longer too!

Computer Shopper. The Playboy of nerd pron :)

Edit: gateway. Only desktop I've ever bought for myself was from them, couldn't buy the parts cheaper than the whole box. 486DX33, 4MB RAM(?), 128MB HD 1x CDROM, 1MB Vid, 15" monitor ~ $2600

Working on a completely new starmap for my server, which will feature fully custom planets, fully custom POI's, fully custom players...well same players, but fully custom is the theme this time.

I do not like star wars, but that aint bad - the cylindrical sections pointing up and down(with respect to the orientation in the picture) could make nifty fixtures for p-gens.

    Wow... sweet... :D

In that case... do ya happen to know any AM3+ Socket ATX Motherboards that can guaranteed support a 4.4+ Ghz 220W CPU? I'm having a HELL of a hard time finding such for a Computer Build for Mom.

Why the hell are Motherboard Manufacturers so damn unwilling to cough up their Motherboard's CPU Socket's Max Wattage Support!? That's as critical a Specification Info as a Graphics Card's +12V Rail Amps Stat!

Now coat that Apple in Gold & feed it to your MC Horse then Breed it with a Donkey to get a Mule for the Achievement... & cause the Mule's my fav Minecraft ride! :p

*Opens Dragon Jaws to try to catch Incoming thrown Fish* :p

Who needs to Parallel Park when one can just Strafe into the Parking Space? XD

For the Topic: My latest going ons in Empyrion is to begin mental plotting & scheming for a Demolition HV using the Multitool Turret.

It sounds as though you're considering an FX9XXX cpu. You might consider an FX8350 instead. The TDP is a lot lower.

When I build a new box I will be going with an FX series proc again. Aside being an excellent performing processor you can saute garlic for your lunch with a square chafing dish and a little butter.

Haven't gone with AMD for gaming now in over a decade. More like... 12 years since I owned my FX-64 proc. I find the performance per core to be better on the Intel side, and am willing to pay more for it there.

Mom needs CPU Juice above all... otherwise i'da just got her similar to my 3.7 Ghz Quad Core CPU which would be a lot less headache. She needs to be able to munch mad amounts of processing for stuff like doing Taxes & the like. (She habitually has 15+ Tabs open on her Web Browser every day...) Naturally also badass CPU Cooling to go with it. (Might be my first ever venture into Liquid Cooling... can't help but to be nervous...) All else is secondary. She doesn't even need more then a Modest Graphics Card cause most of her gameplay is Dino Games on Big Fish Games. Also gonna give her 16 GB RAM unless I find a way to give her a bit more without costing too much... & a D-Link DWA-192 Wireless Antenna. All else need not have high brawn or cost.

I have to go with performance for price. Still would go with AMD anyhow. I tend to vote with my dollar.

I'm using a Corsair Hydro Series H55. Keeps my unclocked FX8350 nice and cool, is easy to install, quiet.

The sealed watercooling solutions off-the-shelf tend to be rather nice for most applications. Never (rarely ever) need maintenance, and very easy to install. I tend to do custom hand-built solutions myself, it's the total geek in me.
