I followed the design aspects of the current alien drone bases and came up with something new. I call it the "Alien Drone Factory." EleonGameStudios is more than welcome to use/change it as they see fit. If they like this, I have other alien base designs in mind as well.

Survival base we used for a while in the server. https://www.dropbox.com/s/bq3l2oyvexye13f/Survival Station.epb?dl=0
This is a station I built in the server and was used for a couple of weeks. This station is located in a valley by the water and has a hover bay, an SV bay, growing area, and all things a good survival base has, but no base weapons as it was built before 3.3.0. https://www.dropbox.com/s/a9pv1tzugqgzmjn/Valley_1.epb?dl=0
U-Haul base. Another base built in survival. https://www.dropbox.com/s/tobmj4tjuq3bcwn/U_Haul_Base.epb?dl=0
Above are the A-K-U-A zip file there are base files in it, copy and paste it into a new base file! Blueprint doesn't work bacause its tooooo big
Yea I see that, but it was a few days ago. Didn't know if it had changed since then. I'll check it out! Thanks!
The only issue I have with underground bases, is that they won't build underground from a blueprint. Or if they can, I haven't be able to figure out how to
I have not tried yet but have you tried digging down first then placing? It would still require a lot of clean up afterwords. This does give me an idea for a suggestion to make this much easier.
Just a proof of concept for this one. Wanted to know how hard it would be to build a base Under one of the lakes. Seems it's not that difficult with a bit of drilling and a little F&F tool work. Once the BS starter block was placed (after flattening the heck out of the bottom of the shaft) the rest is easy, just add elevator blocks to how ever high you want. I also used a combination of the F&F and drill tools to close the opening around the elevator sections on the lake floor. Still needs a bit of cleanup but proves it can be done. Kind of fun to just swim down and enter the elevator shaft to descend. General idea was to see if it's possible to place a base someplace other than inside a mountain to make it near impossible to attack. Wouldn't be that hard to drill a second shaft off to the side for a second entrance and put a landing pad or hangar above the water, possibilities are endless. Just having fun
I like that people are thinking about survival as well as making pretty things That being said, I started a pretty thing. at the moment it's still under construction, but the hanger bays are bigger than my survival CV. Will post BP when I eventually get it done (it took 3.5 hours to get the core and the bays done). The idea is that the sections off the core can be whatever you want (I have the core section saved as a separate BP). One thing I have noticed is that gravity generators make it impossible to jump or use stairs easily.
Putting a base inside a mountain is a pain but I think the drones are having a problem targeting it (for now) The current platform is about 80m long and the core is 50m inside from the entrance of my little cave. This is only the start but it's working for me, now just need a Big door. Had a few drone attacks and they only play with my little HV Blockhouse defense systems so far (have 2 just above the entrance, the green lights). However I do have a Bigger problem, need some major dino fencing installed, got back from hunting and found this. Really, upside down even? (revenge is sweet, he is now salami in the fridge) Rocket launchers and pulse lasers get the digging part of the job done but it makes for a LOT of cleanup before the place is usable.
Base from The Martian movie: WARNING spoilers, look away if you havent watched the movie or read the book yet. Includes HAB (base) MAV (rocket that his team left the planet with), and rover (there are 2 of them in story, but on picture its 2 same ones). Mostly built from memory, cant find any pictures or schematics from movie. Download Some pictures and explanations: Spoiler: Inside the HAB Has all machines needed to survive. And farm in middle (not sure if big enough to support one person). Has 2 airlocks (or actually doors behind each other until they add actual ones). Mind the radar, dish may be loose. Spoiler: Inside the MAV MAV is actual SV and can fly around, it was built 90 degrees up (so going forward is taking off when docked/landed. Problem is landing, you need to get above landing area and turn 90 degrees up, then you can use W to slow your descent and space, A, D, C to maneuver, use alt and turn down to see where you are going when landing. Also you need to use jetpack to get in (no ladders ingame). 1st bottom half of MAV (fuel, storage, generators, oxygen satations, RCS,thrusters outside) 2nd top part of MAV (Still needs cockpit, use V to see when flying) can hold 8 people instead of 6 like in movie (because hexagons dont like squares) 3rd size comparison to human 4th from bottom Spoiler: Inside the rover Until wheels are added they are just decoration for thrusters.
