I completed my conquest of Omicron Prime, all that remains to do is vacuum up the remains of three Vehicle Ports for loot/salvage, then build a suitable SV for killing the Carrier/Drone in orbit. I probably need to go pacify the Moon, but for once I didn't actually need to visit even once, there was a ton of warp fuel in the lake outside my base. Seed number was 8213, which is extremely mountainous, with two polar lakes and some scattered ponds.
With all the EVE ships, you're making me consider building my old Rifter...if my wife sees me with an EVE ship on the screen though, even a EGS version, she's gonna club me like a Harp seal.
Just had the most disheartening experience in EGS. I arrived at our servers home planet after searching everywhere but the right place in the system. I was so happy. And the EGS + discord crashed. So I log back into EGS and find myself plummeting to my doom. Thank goodness for lakes! I tried to use one of my new escape pods to get back up and found some seriously bad news... I got the escape pod in and couldn't get it to dock, I decide to risk it and get out, Almost fall straight through the ship. Had some fun and games trying to get back into elevator shaft, had to build a block to place so I could jetpack high enough. Eventually make it to the bridge. Get in and attempt to level out. HAHA, not a chance.. So I think.. ugh, I'll have to get the other ship out somehow.. I get out of cockpit, and re-plummet into the lake. I have a bright plan to use a transfer pod (Docks to walls & ceilings) to get back to the other escape pod, dislodge that, and then make ANOTHER transfer pod to get back up again to re-try leveling with no undocked ships inside. And me being me I just pressed the wrong button and got out of the pod.. Am now at the bottom (front) of the cargo bay, with 2 unreachable undocked ships above me that I need to remove to be able to fix this. I'm starting to think I should stick to single player until I get a new graphics card that should help minimise my game crashes. At least then I can load a save
Who's have known that Parkor would save the day! rofl I got in, docked to the wall behind me, and then looked around for the escape pod.. That had somehow managed to migrate outside the CV.. I was saved! I got to the cockpit without falling out and managed to level out. I've just lined up to recover the escape pod, and can now finally actually land on my new home planet! ^^ One the bright side there isn't too much mess to clean up ^^
I expanded the SV hangar bay to give some additional internal parking space, and started to fill out the interior. Worked on fixing the gravity generator placement in order to avoid overlap. Fueled up, added proper running lights and internal lights. Restored the main dome, and built the first factory area. Now, onto growth plots, living quarters, medical bay, and a pilot's ready room!
The Hydra looks very nice, I love the interior details shown! The Tactician, you sure build alot of hughe builds, how do you do that? Your builds look amazing! TheUrgist after all that, i'd bet you feel like the lucky pig! As I was stuck using my Maglean Scout all the time as my main SV, kind of got fed up of the fight-jet look-alike it has, I wanted to try a new design approach. Specialy as I started it with the recent starterbase/s... So there I was, on a new multiplayer server, starter planet carved empty... mind the 'gaps!'.... Luckily there were enough stones to drill, and since I started on Omicron, the Desert Golems did help alot too. Did I mention that the planet was carved empty? As in, those resources that had remained were those that top'd at 300 in total, with the avarge around 180, you know that kind... Well, after building the initial vehicle to get to the orbit and moon, and after I finaly managed to get the last material for the SEA Starterbase T2 (see earlier posts), I continued upgrading the SEA Scout MK2 (not in workshop yet) to the SEA Warp Explorer. I think it looks like batman... or a duck... Workshop Link Have a nice day!
He uses a script (?) to do the import from another game's model, which gives him the basic blocks. Then smooths over the bumpy parts, paints a little, and installs basic propulsion and internal equipment/hallways/rooms. There's no way you could build one of those ships in a day from scratch - usually it's a month long project for a builder to create a large CV from nothing. I think so far most of his models are from either EVE, or Star Citizen, but don't know for certain.
It depends on whether or not you have something called "a life". The Feynman was a two-day build. One day to build it, one day to texture/tweak it. (Although I have been debating on replacing the nacelle supports with truss blocks). Today I did a quickie and converted the Drof from a HV to an SV and posted it. ... although I'm still waiting for people to catch the joke in the name.
Caught it, just didn't comment. Drof... Ford. Should have made it an H-150 instead of the E-150, tho...
In circumstances like this i'd consider it totally acceptable for ya to borrow Godmode Power for 'Bug Fixing Purposes' temporarily.
I'm feeling sad. It turns out that I can't actually play EGS on servers. It's fine, until I start exploring; practically every zone I've warped into has ended with a crash or freeze, resulting in more time spent rebooting/reloading than actually playing. And associated vessel recovery time. I think I'll have to stick to single player until I get a new graphics card, which could be quite a while.
Doing better then ever, ideas are commin and commin....it is almost to much.....almost Straighten out some mistakes from the copy&paste on the satellite and experimenting on a very loose shipyard Who wanted more impressions, here you go! And yes, the shipyard is inclined, because of the used components. Have a nice weekend!
In my experience of single player Empyrion on an older (too old) PC I found that running on a server vs. Single Player took a large load off my CPU, allowing the GPU to stretch its legs a little more. If this perhaps pushed your GPU too far - perhaps a slight weakness / over heat issue - it might explain your problems. I'm sure your PC isn't quite as old as the one I was using: Q8200 @2.2ghz, GTX 275, SSD, Windows 10 Pro. So, that old Q8200 could barely cope in Single Player (no OC option sadly) and the GPU, even at the lowest settings seems barely adequate. However, connecting to a server instead of single player quite literally transformed the game. I was often seeing 50fps - albeit at the lowest settings - but the game was much much more fluid. I suspect since the Unity Engine updates this PC would be unable to run Empyrion now, however, this was just a build I did for my Nephew. Scoob.
Hey guys! Been a while since I posted but never stopped lurking. Finally had some time to play EGS after a busy month and actually made an SV I quite like, though the nacelles grew bigger than planned. And finally needing a CV in game I thought I’d try and convert the SV thanks to @Siege Inc. Well, here they are, loosely inspired by @spanj Reavers Fate. SV is Stevers Fate, CV is Stevers Mate (ha!)
Well been working on this for almost 2 weeks, So Hydra-X1 and Hydra-X2 are now on the workshop! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1260757096 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1260757321 ZeroG Shipyards! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=620454405
