hey, im in the same boat but im very sick at the same time, for example, im at risk of heart attack, liver disease and kidney stones all from 1 blood test result last week(i dont drink water havent in 3 months) so im on a new diet and drinking water now lol(fyi not overweight just unhealthy) but most of that is from lack of money to buy the water and depression not wanting to leave the house, anyway we all face our hardships/demons in life, like you trying to get over mine too. we are good people here if u need someone to talk too pm me
Yeah, the people here are all madmen to some degree or the other, but I love them all. Even those swines that make off-hand 'crap' ships that make my 3-week efforts look like something made by drunk toddlers with some Lego and a bunch of crayons. lol The T in my avatar is dual purpose; Theurgist and ahaha Tea. I only drink tea, so thankfully I have a lot of water intake (Possibly too much sometimes), and since it's being boiled I can use tap water without any worries. This is English tap water near the coast too. Stupid limescale..
This has always felt weird to me when travelling abroad. As the norm here in Finland is that you drink tap water, it's perfectly fine all around the country (with some slight variations in taste). And having the pleasure to live in a city where they have invested in extra good & pure water supply to support the local beer company (that has now already been sold elsewhere) - so it's a thing that I rarely remember to appreciate until I am somewhere else...
I thought I'd give a new survival game a spin - since it's been rather long time since a fresh start. I noticed Sienna in the Default MP scenario, which seemed like fun. I always liked Ningues - and was saddened to see it go from the starting planets. Well, it's nice and pretty for sure! I could survive (just barely) on the low lands with the warm springs. ... but oh man, when the night fell! -60 celsius! Death comes rather quickly as I only have light armour. So sitting in the warm springs for the whole night it is then. For the second night I made a impenetrable fortress (concrete box in the side of a mountain). But it was rather short lived as I ran out of energy - and was back in the pool again I can say that the nights feel looong when you are just sitting in water, hearing critters go by... Third night was rather interesting, just as I was finishing my HV BP I got a visitor! I guess my 'impenetrable fortress' was 'penetrable fortress' after all... Just came back from exploration and material gathering round. Found out that the planet is completely devoid of any civilian POI (like the trading station). Only possible target I found was abandoned reactor. I somehow doubt it's truly abandoned - so I need to upgrade my weaponry a bit... It's a rather refreshing challenge - light armour in artic conditions, food is pretty scarce, deposits are far between and tiny, and no CIV POI's. Yes, I've died like a dozen times but I don't stress about it. I just wanna find out if I can get out of this damned planet eventually - I set myself a goal that the drone base must be down before I can leave the planet surface. We'll see how it goes...
Tired of base building so did a quick hover to break up the work. Steam Link: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\43465292\760\remote\383120\screenshots
can anyone give me feed back on my Volga class ship please? http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1283630492
I think I'll eventually do the same, Akua is great for new players where half of your challenge is just working out what the heck you're doing and what is possible, but once you're past that it's a bit too much of a cakewalk. In my last 2 runs on Akua I straight-up ignore the starter wrecked base you always land near except to spawn my scout SV on part of it. I did all of my processing at any civilian poi I find with a 'free' constructor, and that's enough to get a large starter base spawned in, and that lets you get larger CVs done once you've done the obligatory off-world resource collection runs. Basically, I totally skip the drone attacks by not building manually, and once you have a larger base set up they'll be lucky to get any shots off before they're slapped out of the sky. It'd be a whole different ball game if I actually had to survive as well as progress
I think the only thing I'd *have* to adjust would be the interior texture/colors. In actual use most people want their ship to look good from the outside for when they arrive home after gathering or while flying it, but they'll also spend a fair amount of time inside too so that also needs to be a feast for the eyes. It's just a pity there are so few 'interior' plates that work well on all block shapes. Bear in mind that I am fairly OCD, so I get bugged by things that others wouldn't spare a second thought to, or even notice..
HV Jet Thrusters are useless. They flat out lose to 1 Medium Thruster + 1 Small Thruster or 3 Small Thrusters in Thrust given per Block Space used Ratio. Please don't leave us forever... Especially considering that kinda threat is always a threat with me too, & I know full well how powerful it can get... from personal experience... Comcast is Evil. My deep condolences on your lack of choice but to be stuck with them... & condolences to you too... I too suffer from OCD...
I was on Akua thinking about lunch when I said to myself "WTF! I'm out of lemons!" So I jump in the CV and hop over to Omicron to do a little foraging in my HV. Got a bunch, along a few other exclusive items, and was heading back over a lake to the ship, when suddenly, I'm submerged with just the top of my cockpit above water. I looked back to see a light blue rectangle behind me. at the same time, there was another just to the left of me dragging me in but I managed to use thrusters to escape. It was a large cluster or stack of deco condenser blocks. I've had them appear before in the water below one of my base structures. Again I say "WTF?!
Yes. But they would look RIDICULOUS. Which, is what I was going for. Also Wik. Second prototype done... came out looking a bit Buck Rodgers retro (Black and White era) I gotta do something about the nose.
Oh I know it is a chain reaction but honestly it was not designed for combat of any kind, it is a luxury cruiser. Oh and Hennepin is a style of beer, I just changed the name a bit.
