Gravity generators have a radius of roughly ~30 blocks - so test out your gravity generators that they don't overlap. Also, with the gravity generators the direction matters like SilvRav said. So if you put a gravity generator on the ceiling upside down - ceiling is now your floor I suspect as you have four parts in your building, so the gravity in each should be in different direction? Just make sure the generators are far away enough from each other that their garvity field don't overlap. So don't put them in the center of the POI, put in the outer edges.
*cough* SV>HV docking.. *cough.. cough* think mightly mobile HV Fortress with mircro-to-small Scout-SVs...
That would be cool... but if it were a situation where we could only have one or the other, I'd have to stick with HV dock to SV No, they remind me more of the IXS Enterprise than the USS Enterprise, altough I still prefer the solid "saucer" of the Messenger or Tempest builds to the split ring style
@SilvRav They are not really overlapping, the gravity of the station is fine and works like intented. Furthermore i noticed that the NPCs are only walking on an GM like axis or in other words they move like u would move a SV/CV/HV while simultaneous holding the O Button for alignment. Basically are NPCs ignoring the gravity from gravity-generators. The question is more like, will this be fixed somewhere in the future or does every POI with NPCs on it has do be aligned with the gm-axis......and of course multi-gravity-centered stations would then be sensless. Or do i really missing some point here? @rainyday Besides what you said, you can put 5 gravity generators on the ceiling for the styles and 6 on the floor (in secret behind a wall) and it works like u would have only 1 on the floor (5 - 6 = -1 for the floor ).
Oh right - sorry I misunderstood you. So they are all basically walking the same way, no matter the grav generators? Sounds like a bug.
I discovered that Eleon have a blog ... - Larger Planets: increase from the current 8x4km (32km²) up to 32*64km (2048km²) playfields! - Updated planet-tech: biome distribution based on humidity and temperature! - Solar System random generator: just swipe a few sliders and create a solar system on the go - Improved AI behavior - New and improved threats (and possibly a new and more varied threat-progression) - Repair-2-Blueprint - Better Creative and Building tools We plan to release a more detailed blog with more info soon. ... But not one that anyone can actually find, unless the release notes serve as a blog? Is that even possible to say, not sure, but whatever, its well hidden, but should be good. Anyways, had fun scanning the PDF of the ingame items, it's pretty huge.
I FOR ONE cant wait for the planets in 8.0, ill be teaching myself how to make them hopefully its easy for noobs like myself
Been working on Wayward Son off and on for the last couple weeks- it's where those interior shots I posted a while ago came from. Intent is to push the boundary between SV and CV... it's a light-duty tramp freighter with limited passenger accommodations. Outer hull is about 80% complete, interior is almost 50%
Well, with the influx of materials, my base looks Less like a wino built it with tinker-toys. Nope, this dude found sheet metal and pop-rivets. Think I'll reshuffle the shaded solar panels and then go knock on the drone base's door... Basement door.
LOL oh wow... this sounds like the kinda thing @Slam Jones Mammoth HV would wanna try! I always figured the News Posts doubled as the Blog. *shrug*
It wasn't quite IN Empyrion, but I created a "brand" and cohesive labeling style for my Workshop blueprints. The style (and the name) are obviously ripped from General Dynamics, but done in the silver and yellow-orange scheme I'm so fond of using on my builds. I also did one for my Port Olisar BP, but in a different style intended to resemble Star Citizen's branding.
Sadly I think they've said that SVs will be able to carry HVs, but not the other way around, so if you try to drive the HV while docked it'll just disconnect. It'll be a shame if so, I really like the image of a huge floating platform ship. This just made me realize, actually, that "Capital HVs" could be a cool idea. You could make land battleships!
Don't do it. It just steals way to much of your lifetime. I am really close to release my class 24 HV in an unfinished state (no lights, basic signal logic) as a base version and move on to smaller projekts. That thing cost me about 40 hours of my life time XD
