Sometimes my Creativity really can get a bit... well... 'stuck'... Stuff like this has been known to be of help to me in helping get unstuck. Things like getting intro'd to Frac's Asymm Thread before & such like that proves it. If I manage to attempt a build for this Contest i'm hoping something about it will help me get unstuck from my rut that's made me unable to manage any good a SV Build lately... Oooohhh... I like this... looks sturdy & practical. P.S. Done. I present The Weyland-Yutani.SV-Long Range Extended Endurance Multi-Role Strike Craft.v01 Not particularly pretty or anything but it should work nice. Still thinking of a 'name' for it. Embarrassing! made it one block too long! Fixed now.
I did a bit of a double-take when I saw the name on the Workshop. Catchy, but also difficult to digest.
The Acronym is life. Added Omicron variant for personal use sharing pic here to not burn another post. Peeled most of the cage applique off this one for baseline. And then the rest off for the current map due to their not being anything to shoot at me now.
So I am feeling extremely cooped up due to all this snow we are getting... and I thought I would make something else for this challenge. I had a brainstorm when viewing Robot sharks over-engined SV. I am all for floaty bits(I mean, who doesn't love a some floaty bit?) but why not create something joined with energy barriers? Plus I have not built an asymmetrical anything for a while, and this will let me use that part of my mind. Proof of concept: Then I thought, why not pointy? So I cobbled together an HV with the theme I want: And somehow, I have to figure out how to merge the two: which I am not sure how to do yet.... but, gives me a project for after I work out this evening. It, sadly, may not be possible. The joined-energy field fighter concept BP is attached if anyone wants to play with it. Called "Gemini."
My Warp-capable Falcon seems to be the only SV I have that fits this challenge.... Don't know if I can enter it since it was made very shortly after 7.0 was released....
Sheesh. I almost would be upset at how pretty everyone's stuff is compared to mine... And then I remember my design philosophy follows the Soviet Industrial Military Complex of the cold war era. Well, so first pass was a spectacular failure. It yielded a.... maggot thing that is simultaneously cute and happy to see you and waving its maggotty arms, but also kind of angry that you must be sampling its nutrient broth... *sigh* I fear there just is not enough room for this idea to work. Bp attached in the event you want to have a little friend who is happy to see you everytime you log in... just do not touch its food! Hold on hold on, I will give it a second attempt....
