Dang. That's upsetting. The great Jade Falcon clan did not become this powerful by hiring legions of serfs to dig its bases out of the ground. In addition to pineapple chunks, bookshelfs with books and a drinks globe I would like to suggest this be improved in a future release if possible.
Afraid so. I've built a number of BA with subterranean bits that, when spawned, had to be excavated. At least the drill doesn't harm the plants in the greenhouse.
So, I thought I could give the public server a try again. Spawned on a planet without breathable athmosphere, get instantly swarmed by multiple enemies (can't even read the intro message). Spawn again and fight my way back to my starter loot, by this time I'm down to almost no o2, use up all I got and place an o2 generator. But it can't produce enough o2 for me to survive? So I die again.. and again. That's fun. I guess planets without enough o2 in the athmostphere are something for people who don't care about dying. A lot.
Godmode, itemmenu, grab charges and drills as needed, commence digging*, trash any leftovers and extra drills (I try to keep cheating to a minimum), turn off godmode, done. *as Led Zepplin's Immigrant Song plays and visions of Viking Kittens dance through my brain
Hi,@WolfEyes Today I was re-reading the backstory for EGS when I remembered your question about what century the game takes place. In the story, the fleet, of which we are a part, leaves for Andromeda in 2473, which actually puts us in the latter half of the 25th Century, when Buck Rogers rocked the cosmos. BTW, regarding our conversation on recycling, I don't know if you've tried it, but just so we're clear, the way I use it is this: If I'm not actually building a blueprint, I select an expensive BP to send to the factory, one that uses some of everything. Then I start tossing in all my excess devices and components. As long as what you toss has some element that the BP requires, it will accept it until you meet or exceed the required amount, with excess stored in rhe factory for future use. Once requirements are met, no more will be accepted. In the case of things like ammo, the factory will accept the metal bits and spit out things like magnesium and nitrocellulose that have no use in a BP into your inventory to be used elsewhere. when I reach a point where I have a surplus of readily available resources, i like to stock the factory with iron, cobalt and such. When it comes to erestrum and zascosium, I tend to add it only as needed. This works for me and the way I play, though it might not suit others.
I am really unhappy with the fact that even capital vessels require a base to spawn. It makes sense with hover vessels but even CV's? In a coop game with a friend, we tried spawning the capital vessel for about 20 minutes until we finally gave it up. We tried placing it above the trading station, a selfmade building and then we went back to a planet. tried to spawn it on a huge plattform. Still didn't work. Please, just make CV spawnable in space again, it's supposed to be like a flying base after all, so why would it require a base?
Are you talking about spawning a BP of a CV or building a CV from a starter? I just spawned a BP in space with no issues. I haven't tried to build a CV in space.
Yes, I was referring to the BP spawning. Also in survival mode, mind you. Not in creative, where it works at it used to.
Well, spawning on a base can be seen as a step towards the shipyard. If you want a workaround in the SP you have two options In the startup difficulty settings of the game that turn off open the console in the game and enter the command "sbp" that will also cancel (and a little more ;-))
Apparently I have always had the 'BP spawn limit' set to 'false'. I never paid attention to it, didn't know what it was for.
I didn't either until I got tired of having to type in 'sbp' and looked for a better way. That's when I stumbled across all those settings that I swear weren't there before.
I frequently find that I have overlooked some new little feature that's been added. As much as I try to keep up with developments. I am also frequently lost in the terminology of the game's workings. Like I know what SSAO stands for, but have no idea what they're talking about. I foumd out what LOD refers to, and that, if you say it fast, over and over, you can learn to yodel!
This is about the Solar System Generator. ATM it is a very limited utility but I see BIG potential with the application. Here are a few things Id like to be able to do with it... 1) Have the ability to personalize my created planets by giving them names. 2) Be able to add even more planets to a randomly generated galaxy. 3) Be able to move planets around on the sector map. 4) Have the ability to move POI,Resources, ect on the planet map to personalize them more. Now I know that you can go into a file and edit some of this but it would be alot easier if you could do most of the work with the SSG provided by the devs.
