I know that are lots of trigger happy PVP players out there and lots of games for them, so feel free to start your own thread --

Disclaimer - I'm a horrible shot, and have slow reflexes, so FPS and I don't really to well. I like building stuff exploring, puzzles, good graphics, etc.
But for folks like me, what are you playing? I've tried to play:
    Astrox
    Far-Out
    Endless Sky
    NMS (No Mans Sky)
    Phoning Home
    Space Pilgrim

None of them really do it for me. Non-space games
Quern - Undying thoughts (Myst like) is incredible - better than Obduction
Haven Moon - also beautiful Myst-like, but fairly short.
    Obduction

EDIT: Far Out and Astrox are different games.

Mmmm... Myst. You don't know Myst until you've played all 5, Uru, and own the books ;)

Is this the game made with Blender?

I buy games for my young one which isn't a "good shooter", and she doesn't like too complex control schemes either. I don't know if those would fit your style though:

Astrox, Hostile Space excavation - nice little game, good replay value, combat is automated and player mostly explores, mines and upgrades his ships and devices - got it for a few dollars

Executive Assault - a nice little game where the player manages a small base, research tech and eventually tries to attack/ destroy the "other" bases, either AI or other player (I play it against my girl but it can be played in the same team against AI or singleplayer). There is a version 2 of this game in development, all in space. The player can also get in any of his "units" (tank, plane or robot) and control it in 1st person in battle...

The Saboteur - a lost gem, really, but maybe a bit too much "shooter" genre. Still music is very good, it's a GTA clone with very good mechanics, simple gameplay, a cross-breed between Assassin's Creed & GTA actually, set up in a WW2 context. It's a 3rd person with lots of funny stealth (not realistic), AI is sometimes hilarious but overall it has lots of content (mostly blowing up things)

Trine 1 and 2 : very nice "side scrollers" that got me hooked for a while. The player can switch between 3 characters anytime, many puzzles/ platforming, weapons & combat are easy (thief has a bow, knight has a sword or hammer, and magician can drop boxes on enemies from a distance)

Dungeon Keeper 2 : a classic that never aged. Still playing it from time to time. It is a reference in "dungeon building/ management" with lots of humor.

Euro Truck Simulator - believe it or not, it's actually fun, relaxing and kind of hypnotic. Got it for very low price and spend many hours making deliveries...

Besiege - build a machine to accomplish a very specific task and see if it succeeds. Sandbox physics simulator, still in development

Chicken Invaders 3 - Space Invader/ Galaga style, with chickens - easy and fun

Defense Grid: the awakening - tower defense, set up your turrets/ base and wait for invaders.

Dungeon Siege series : all good except the 3rd

Flock - you're a flying saucer and trying to grab as many sheeps as you can. Funny and not always easy

Mousecraft - puzzles with mice in mazes seen from the side. Only done a fraction of the puzzles, real challenge ahead...

Overlord 1 & 2 : you are the pure Evil Lord and use minions to do the dirty work. No need to be skilled, just good planning needed and the little guys will go where you point. Really well made.

Stronghold series : dungeon management, old school but still lots of content

I'm trying out Subsistence just now while waiting for 8. Staying alive is my problem in that one but then again I'm not used to playing games of these types.

Another one along the same lines as Dungeon Siege (which I love) is Titan Quest.

And to answer the OP's question, between dinking around in Empyrion (SP and creative) and going back to STO after a 2 year or so hiatus, plus my Sims games and another MMO he wouldn't be interested in (Star Stable... shup! :p )... all take up enough of my time that I'm not too terribly bored waiting for A8 to come out.

Maybe I should mention that STO is Star Trek Online. It's fun as long as you either stay to yourself and avoid the PvP areas or join a fleet. Being part of the right fleet makes it worthwhile for me. When I'm active I'm usually in UNIVERSAL.

I've been playing a few hours of endless sky too. Kind of like the [very] old arcade game Asteroids with trading and ship upgrades.

I actually don't play much lately, except from building stuff in EGS.
Just a few months ago i (re) discovered strategy games again and i've been playing Empire: Total War occasionally.

From the previous mentioned games i can fully recommend @Kassonnade Saboteur, which is a really good game.
Perfect to kill some Nazis if you're in the mood to. (it's always a good time for doing that. :D )

I can also recommend Mount&Blade, if you are interested in medival things and RPGs.
Other games i like to play (but i sadly don't have the time to do): Skyrim (mods!), FTL -faster than light, Kerbal space program (inclusive mods), Middle-Earth shadow of mordor (if you're in the mood to slay some evil orcs), the Guild I and II (plus addons).

Been playing STO for years, but i somehow lost grip on it and i just don't care anymore. (Too many other ppl. no one cares about playing a Star Trek game and so on)

I have 2 lifetime accounts with STO. I take breaks so I don't get burned out. This last one was a forced break of close to 3 years. A lot has been added over that time so I'm going to start a new character. All the others are at least level 50 with one or two level 60s which is still the highest level you can get (still) from what I saw last night. Lots of new things to learn! \o/ :D

My relax game is ksp, but I was wondering, do you have any mod recommendations? I am using Kerbal Engineer, but beyond that I don't know where to go.
    ON TOPIC!
I also enjoy going back to Star Wars: Empire at War, every once in a while, great modding community for an aging rts/grand strategy. Plus star wars!
Finally, rocket league. Got it free with my graphics card, suck at it, just play it casually. Typically get curbstomped. Oh well.

    @Aelar_Nailo
"Near Future Technology" mod is always a good start. Don't forget to copy your game to another folder to keep a clean copy if the game (in case something goes wrong). You can star the game from the new folder, without any problem, at least that worked a year ago.
The Games Addon forum gives you a good idea about the range of mods the ppl have made.
    https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/forum/34-add-on-releases/&page=3

Other mods i like to use (among TONS additional smaller mods):
TweakScale (absolutely recommended, it lets you change the size of various parts.)
Kerbal Joint Reinforcement (makes rockets less "wobbly")
B9 Aerospace (Lots and Lots of cool looking and helpful Airplane part, that can also be used for spaceships)
Kethane Plugin and Parts (adds a new fuel type to the game that can be mined on moons and planets.)
Solaris Hypernautics (Sci fi tech mod, absolutely fun and uncomplicated. Only use when you're in the mood to keep the usual boundaries behind you)
Anatid Robotics / MuMech - MechJeb - Autopilot (Most important mod! It lets you do Hohman maneuvers and precise orbital maneuvers. I couldn't play that game without it (at least not without getting a rage attack, lol))

CKAN (Mod manager that automaticly keeps mods up to date, extremely helpful)

That's all i could remember, but everyone has different priorities. Just look at the addon forum and you'll find something you like for sure.

Factorio. Hopefully Empyrion gets some inspiration from it (with virtual logistics, though). :)

My wife has been making a game of her own and I have been consulting with her as she does.
