Today was a busy day... After the Exp4 reset - and a few somewhat frustrating bugs - my fellow CAT members managed to establish a quick shelter on some prime beachfront property. While the majority the base is below ground, including that big hangar entrance, I was volunteered to "do something" with the surface structure. In particular, a "Mission Control" for tracking POI regen times, faction assignments, and other needs. Started with an "HV Port" for our vehicles yesterday, and built outward from there. An intermittent but irritating bug has been making it temporarily impossible to build ("No empty space to place block"), but it eventually goes away and progress continues... In addition to the requested Mission Control, I added an auxiliary solar array, but unfortunately we're plagued by bad weather and even in low-power mode the base just can't get enough good sunlight to charge up before nightfall. Rounding out the addition is a pair of quick launch pads for SVs, which is mostly a temporary measure until the hangar is ready. (Vehicles shown: Timo's "Cheapo" SV, Fractalite's "Lunar Explorer", Rainyday's PSI utility HV, and my "Hoverbug.") @Starwing6 has also done some fantastic work on "Sublevel 1" but I'll let her share the photos of that one. As for the "missions" themselves... I learned quite a few things from my experiences with the Elancia. First and foremost, it sucks trying to scout the planet in an open-cockpit HV. No more freezing to death or getting cooked by radiation for me! Sadly I haven't come up with a good name for this one - it's just "Hoverbug." Lightweight lvl3, and considerably more stable than the twin-engine hoverbike. Also climbs trees and rocks pretty well - which is great for me, since the new Deep Forest biome is a nightmare to try and navigate. Find the nearest tree, aim vertical, and *zoom* right out of the canopy. Glides quite well! Not nearly as fuel-efficient though.

Interesting. I see what you mean. I couldn't find a way to use replaceblocks to get rid of (or change) them either. (I found what looks like an old forcefield block in the localization file, but that wasn't it either.) But, good news: you can cut them with the clipboard tools. That will get rid of them.
I realize that this thread is mostly for builders, but I simply cannot resist.... What did I do this weekend in Empyrion? I totally re-engaged with the game, after having taken a break of a few months. I started work on some of my older blue prints, and I even got shot down on the moon and stranded! Soon I will return to MP, just cuz that's what I like. (Not so much PVP, but just having other people alive in my universe.) The game has advanced significantly. Larger planets are wonderful.
The game has changed enough to convince me that an HV is now close to being a must. The Waterbug is the result of several test builds. It's very stable (I won't have a flippy HV), cheap to build, weatherproof, and available at Lvl 3. I'm putting it up here for forum members to use, modify, or ignore as they see fit.
Wonderful and needed design, @binhthuy71 . For the early game this is a real need. All I'd do after a while is add a 15mm gattler. They are fun to hunt with. "After a long day mining, it's great to load up the ole HV with a case of plant protein beer and go a huntin' triceratops with a gatlin gun. They splatter great!"
It's not- it's for stories... the EGS equivalent of tall tales at the bar... Just that a lot of them involve building, well, nature of the beast and all.. Been puttering about with a few builds, finally finished my Colony Pod (Small). It's lvl 5 and fairly cheap, intended to be the anchor for a new settlement. It does look a lot like @Jenniphurr 's Drop Base, well, form follows function or great minds or something like that Anyway, mine's intended to be more centered around a larger group effort than solo or small group. In fact, my youngest and I are using her base in our current game because it's smaller and available sooner. Spoiler: More pics here for bandwidth's sake
