    @Na_Palm guess it was the angle, this Looks great! :)
    @Brimstone , AFAIK with the drones its like: their path is calculated wether or not someone is on the playfield.
    But the attack only starts as soon anyone is anywhere on the planet/playfield.

    I'm no longer sure this was an attack... The "destroyed" parts reappeared when re-entering the area the next day... no actual damage seems to have been done, so I'm thinking this time was some weird loading bug

    More heavily disappointed, at first I was happy, but after seeing what was done (and the lame reason for it), not so much. Kinda hesitant to upload anything else, don't want to see things I've put time and effort into being butchered..

    Apologies if this has already come up here. If so I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction :)

    In one of the Exp 8 threads someone mentioned how great it would be if CVs could have hover engines. For planet side mobile bases.
    Which I think would be great. But it also got me thinking of Bolos and the Hammer's Slammers hover tanks. Always loved those Sci-Fi books.

    So I made my interpretation of a small-ish Bolo. Turned out better than I expected, overall 'lines' wise. But since some of the best builders in the game tend to hang out here I thought I'd drop in and solicit folks thoughts on it. Good, bad, harsh, virtual rotten fruit, I'd be grateful for any :)

    Oh, and would love to check out other folks 'CV Hover Tank' designs!

    The BoloMarkII is still rough inside and I haven't converted it to Combat Armor since I'm working on making one that could be BP'd w just the bits salvaged from the starter planet Titan sections (sans the Arty turrets so maybe lvl 10?). So not up on Workshop yet.

    Has a small rear hanger accessed via the 5x3 hanger door. People entrances are on either side through the forward facing thruster exhaust channels; the half width railings just visible on the 'skirts'. Command deck in the nose protected behind Shutters & the new Heavy Glass.

    Edit: should mention that I know the turrets are limited due to location. Was trying to get the feel of an all out attack type tank, so every thing can only bear while face on to the enemy.

    Hovers are good at strafing. Concentrating your fire will work fine.

    @StyleBBQ CV 'hover tank', now there's a nice idea of a mobile planetary base! :) You got the lines figured out - now slap on some textures & paint & details to make her real pretty :)

    Only drawback I can see is that the planetary CV turret options are quite limited. But you can alleviate that with mobile HV turrets maybe - pop them out once you've found a spot to camp for a while :)

    Thanks @binhthuy71 :) And thanks @rainyday , glad you like it! Ach. paint & texturing... kinda already did that? heh :) I'm really not good at that part though you're absolutely right that it makes a huge difference to the final look. Just the kind of pointer I need to take another go at it!
    hmm.. I hadn't really considered the CV turrets planet-side limitations ... yeah, those'd need some attention for sure.
    It just wouldn't look right if a 'CV Hover Tank' only had the small 3x3x1's :(

    Flew a sv up to the moon today to mine cobalt. Well, some of the glass in my cockpit got shot out and I didn't have a constructor or anything to patch the hole with. I didn't think it was a big deal until I tried to leave an remembered that I didn't have an Eva boost yet. There was no copper on the moon so I couldnt build a portable constructor... so I decided to go for it and flew from the moon back to my starter world without any Eva boost, nearly died of hypothermia but I made it barely.

    The flexibility in EGS build system is also for me a strong selling point.
    Some time i would like to see a whole planet covered with the buildings you have done :)
    yeah, would be nice if we had more deco, or at least have all decoblocks for all available.

    Designs are like ideas, once you have released them you cant take them back. So please take what parts you like, Iam fine with it! :D

    Was that havoc on a A8 server? Than I would probably send a bug report to Eleon, to sort it out.

    not only the angle i think, on first pass i liked the roundish part in question. But now after changeing it, it looks much better and the new weaponpod give some extra protection in that area.
    Yesterday i explored the starterplanet a bit and came across the new compact xenucomplex. One homing missile managed to crack a 4x6 wide hole under the cockpit section. But i got lucky as there where no vital parts. Have to put a notice to dont forget to upgrade to Combatsteel as soon as possible...

    Your interrior looks much cleaner now, i like it.:)

    Maybe a second color on the lower part, together with another texure there could liven it up, as @rainyday mentioned too. As you did on the underside to simulate hoverengines. Otherwise a great clean 'CV Hover Tank'.
    But thats only my thinking...

    I couldnt let go, and kept working on the ERC-C Ruiser…
    Completely re-done the maintenance hallways from those 'grid-blocks' -> it was 14.36 before it was even close to be complete with the first approach… now it is 14.38 - after adding more Lights and LCD's for a more 'lived feel'.

    I had an 'empty' spot in the hangar, figured I'd place a lab there, which just happens to use those medical devices.. :rolleyes:

    Also, until just before now, I had forgotton to add the ramps and their sensors to the hangars and even the landing gear (custom cover) was just added last.
    Such things can happen while building in space :D
